i think everybody should give her some credit, she is not a great singer, but this cd is great, i am really addicted to some of the songs, and think that she is really talneted in her own right. oh and the person who bashed madonna, needs to get a reality check!!!!

Britney really sounds more mature. Maybe because of her smoking but her songs I feel are more her and not what other people tell her to sing.

Just what kind of "journey" is Britney supposed to be on? According to your reviewer this is some type of sexual/sensual journey of a woman. Since I AM a woman too, I don't care to hear moaning, groaning, even growling in my hear. Don't disguise this as music or singing. If it weren't for the fact that the background music drowns out this animal-like performance, I'd drop it down to one star. Regardless, I won't buy the album. It seems like I'm not alone either. If you check the Billboard website you can see that Britney's album sales are dropping faster than her clothes.

It's the typical pop-packaged item. With her image, "controversies", and "creative material", IN THE ZONE is easily a marketable album because it's easy to make impressive songs that complement such a mediocre voice. She's an amazing entertainer and she puts on an amazing show. But, it's all visual. What music comes down to is creativity and talent. She's creative but she's not a talented singer. She can't beat Christina Aguilera. I'm not biased but I saw both of them live, and Britney may have better moves, but Christina does some amazing hooks and ad-libs at her live performances.

If your a club hopping person you might like this album. In britney's past ablums she use a baby voice when she sings. Now she tries to be sexy and her voice is terrible.I swear if she makes another song about getting freaky on the dance floor I'm going to scream. Most of the songs on the album are about dancing and sexual stuff. There are about three songs that are truly meaningful like Shadow and Everytime. And just when you think Britney was going for something more girl empowering with Brave New Girl it turns out to be another sexual song. Some songs have okay beats but it hardly make this a good album.

Okay, so this album still is a typical Pop, 'I'm coming out as a real artist' thing, but everyone should stop ragging on Me against the music and Toxic especially. Have you heard what a great track it is? I personally was never a fan of Britney, but this album is one of her bests, and I think its great. Listen to Toxic and you'll know what I mean!

THIS ALBUM IS A JOKE..PLEASE DONT WASTE TIME & MONEY WITH IT..SURE THERE'S A LOT OF HYPE & ALL SURROUNDING THIS ALBUM..SHE IS BRITNEY AFTER ALL BUT WHAT YOU GET HERE IS PURELY HALF-HEARTED PRODUCTION..I'VE TRIED 2 FORCE MYSELF 2 LIKE IT SINCE I BOUGHT AN ORI CD...BUT AFTER 50 LISTENS IT STILL SUCKS...

WHEN DOES THE HURTING STOP!?!?!? With record sales consistently dropping with each album, it's only a matter of time before we see Britney appearing on Hollywood Squares in an attempt to let people know she's still around. Either that or pull another publicity stunt, maybe this time she'll kiss one of the Bush twins or Paris Hilton. Now, she wants to take on a more "mature" sound with this album, because this time it isn't about her midriff, it's about the music. Let's ask ourselves, when was it ever about the music? All of her previous albums, videos, and appearances were about her body and making a spectacle of herself. Now, she claims it wasn't her, it's the media misconstruing the fact the she flaunts her T&A. "I'm just doing my thing!" Now, her new album is supposedly going in a darker direction. Perhaps darker simply means a lower class of strippers will be dancing to this music. Another album from Britney Spears equals the further downfall of modern music.

Question: What three things make Louisiana residents want to wear paper bags over their heads? (I already gave the answers) From the getgo Spears was a mediocre talent with a Madonna complex. Although I confess that I did buy her first CD, I haven't had reason to waste my bucks on this tripe since. Spears hasn't got the voice to sustain her, so she has to model her act after Madonna and become increasingly more vulgar. In this MTV age, vulgarity sells. She's in for a fall, though because age takes its toll, and All the plastic surgery in the world can't make up for the lack of talent. When the shock value runs out, Spears can always find a job on Bourbon Street.

I love her voice. Man can she sing, and for all the people who think that she has no right to be in the music business, well, they're completely wrong. I expecially loved her single "Toxic", it's a real jam... keep em' comin' Britney!!!!!!!!!!

I personally love this CD. It has great songs (particulary "Breathe On Me" and "Touch Of My Hand") and it's a fun album!

Is the equivalent of calling Mickey Mouse an "Actor," and they're both about as real. Give me the rodent any day. At least the mouse knows he's a cartoon figure. Wish Spears would see the light.

Unfortunately, Britney's idolization of all things Madonna is highlighted here. The aging pop Queen has a ball using her young fan to get back in the headlines. Britney should know better and follow up on this bad CD by getting better songs, her own style, and firing her manager. The CD is classified as "jive" but I can't see it. I don't know what the heck it is. But I'm not spending any more money on her CD's. What a waste.

I'm first to admit that I'm not the biggest Britney Spears fan, but "In the Zone" may just bring me into the fold. I have enjoyed many of her singles and until her self-titled album, I was not able to purchase an entire cd. With the exception of about 3 or 4 songs on that cd it was somewhat of a regrettable purchase. "In the Zone" has sucked me into the Britney zone. The album has at least 8 out of 12 tracks that are pretty good. Despite the some of the reviews from so-called critics, I think this album is her best yet. She shows maturity and some dirt on many of tracks. Some of her younger fans may run and dash because some of the tracks have been described as "raunchy" and "sexual", but so what. If you can't take the heat, throw some ice down your pants. I'm proud of Miss Spears and I think she may move into that more adult market like she was hoping for.

Although Ms. Spears completely does us in with songs like "Toxic" and "Showdown" we have to admit that these songs are good for certain moods. i dont agree with the way Britney does things, but her music brings an emotion to her fans, and as long as shes doing that, shes an artist.

It's sad that she had to move away from what was really going for her. Her new style does not reflect her best work or the best that her voice has to offer. She's lost in the magic of technology. Stick to what works. Her last album sounds a lot like this and it didn't do nearly as well as previous ones. She should have learned.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!! I'VE WAITED 2 YEARS FOR HER TO COME OUT WITH SOMETHING NEW AND BOY DID SHE DO BETTER THEN I EXPECTEDTED. SHE HAS REALLY MATURED IN HER MUSIC AND HAS TAKEN IT TO A NEW LEVEL. SHE HAS A LOT OF SONGS THAT WOULD BE BIG HITS SUCH AS IVE GOT THAT(BOOM BOOM),TOUCH OF MY HAND,EVERYTIME,TOXIC,BREATH ON ME AND OUTRAGEOUS. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS ALBUM YOU REALLY ARE MISSING OUT ON SOMETHING BIG!
