5 Star Review In Too Deep (Man of the Month #10) by J Kenner This is the tenth book in the series and is Hannah Donovan and Matthew Herrington’s story. In Too Deep is an extremely well written, fun quick story which grabbed my attention from the start. Hannah is the best friend and new law partner of Easton Wallace. Everything is going well in their plans to establish their new practice until it isn’t. The money she planned to use from her pension fund suddenly cannot be accessed and her mother does not want to release her inheritance from her late father unless she is in a committed relationship. When she spills her woes to Easton’s girlfriend Selma, she comes up with a plan to get her brother to help Hannah out. Matthew has always been drawn to Hannah and vice a versa. The chemistry between Hannah and Matthew sizzles and I absolutely adored Matthew. However it isn’t as smooth sailing as it could be. Matthew is now at a point where he is looking to find “the one”. Hannah doesn’t feel she is ready to settle down, especially since she us trying to build up their practice. The books in this series can easily be read as stand alone, but since they are not that long and a quick and easy read I would recommend you one click them all. This has been a fun series to read and I am excited and sad that there are only two more books to come; looking forward to Mr. November.

I feel like I am repeating myself but what can I do, I just all all the books in this series. And this one is not an exception. Matthew and Hannah's story is simply beautiful. It's romantic and hot and even a little bit sweet. And I loved every single word of it. The attraction between Matthew and Hannah is palpable but nothing really happens between then until Hannah has to present him as her fiance to please her mother and stepfather. That's when caution is thrown to the wind and their feelings grow faster than a wild fire. But of course, no relationship is without issues and Hannah's family and Matthew's background appear to be quite the obstacle for their HEA. I am not going to say anything more than that but I can tell you that this somewhat short tenth instalment in the Man of the Month series, is definitely worth reading :) So don't waste any time and pick your copy asap. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved Hannah and Matthew's story and how opposites really are attracted to each other.

In Too Deep by J. Kenner is the tenth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Hannah and Matthew, the attorney who needs a fake fiancé and the gym owner who thinks he isn't worthy of being more than the fake in their agreement. Hannah is branching out on her own, well, sort of, with her friend and soon to be partner in law, Easton. Quitting her job was a mistake though, then she discovers there is a clause that prevents her receiving any payouts on ehr retirement fund. She needs $50 grand to invest in the law partnership and refuses to borrow it from Easton. She has a trust fund and money set up but her mother and step-father are unwilling to hand it over and would like it to go towards "setting up her future" read as home-life as part of a happily married couple. What she needs is a fake fiancé. Matthew is the kind of guy who is looking for a real relationship and not a quick hookup and tumble in the sheets. When his crazy sister throws this fake fiancé situation in his lap like it's a done deal he has no choice but to go ahead and try not to fall even further for this woman. When he starts to doubt his worthiness and then is further placed under scrutiny by Hannah's step-father he decides to just let her go. Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!

To say I cannot get enough of this series is an understatement! I love the chemistry between Hannah and Matthew and I knew from the very beginning their story would be sweet!

This has been my least favorite so far but I think that is because the tropes used have been overused this year - dyslexia and fake relationships with benefits. Plus the characters were peripheral to the peripheral if you know what I mean, so lacked the connection of the more central characters.

In Too Deep follows the fake fiance trope, but with a sweetness to the romance. In a slight role reversal, it's our heroine, Hannah, who needs a fiance to prove to her mom and stepdad that she's capable of a serious relationship in order to get an inheritance her late dad left for her. Selma Herrington, heroine from All Night Long and girlfriend of Hannah's law partner, Easton, offers up her brother, to fill the role. When Matthew is approached with the request, I liked that he gave it serious consideration before making a decision, especially since he's harbored a crush on Hannah. His words and feelings relay a depth of sincerity which makes him a sweet Hero. However, since he didn't go to college, he felt Hannah was out of his league and thus did not pursue his interest. Matthew eventually agrees to help Hannah, figuring she only needed him for one weekend. Things happen which cause Matthew and Hannah to continue the charade, but eventually their feelings turn real. I enjoyed the romance building aspect of the story but felt the storyline between Hannah and her parents was unfinished, which if given the opportunity, I would have rated this one 3.5 stars.

The months just keep getting hotter! Selma and Easton seem to be complete opposites, but these two have absolutely sizzling chemistry! I loved the chemistry, banter, and fun between these two. They both seem to know exactly what they want to achieve in their careers, but soon find maybe they weren't as sure as they thought. A fun, hot, romance with a whole cast of great characters that leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book!

"I wasn't looking for you, but I found you. And now I need you." Hello Mr. October!! As the series winds down (2 to go), I can't say enough how much I have enjoyed these stories. Each one spotlights a different couple, while the characters from the others make their appearance throughout each one. Plus, one of the hottie men is crowed the next Man of the Month! Hannah Donovan is ready for a new start. She's quit her job as in-house counsel for Brandywine Finance & Consulting and is on the cusp of opening a new law firm with her bestie, Easton. The only thing holding her back is the funding. She knows where to get it and how, but there is one critical piece of the puzzle needed to free it up. She needs a man. One to convince her mother to release her inheritance from her father. Matthew. Will he come to her rescue and pretend to be her man? She wants him, but they agreed this would be fake - and temporary. Right? Matthew Herrington has been attracted to Hannah for a while now. How could he not be? She's perfect. Now, she needs his help. He can't tell if this is a godsend of an opportunity to be close to her, or the worst decision he's ever made. She is so far out of his league, there is no way he's deserving of her. When this arrangement is done, he'll walk away and she'll find someone deserving of her. He just needs to survive losing her. There's no way they can work - right? I really enjoyed their story. I wanted to slap her mother and step-father across the head for being so closed minded, but as you know, there's a happily ever after regardless!!

This is the newest installment in this series and the chemistry exploded right off my kindle. Hannah has quit her job to partner with Easton and they are opening a new law practice. The only problem is she needs money and is going to have to resort to asking her mother (again) for the money her dad left her. The only problem is her step-dad has some sort of crazy mind warp on her mom and they expect her to have a man before she gets the money. Matthew is wrangled into posing as her pretend fiance for the weekend when they visit so she can get the money. All seems to be good and, oh, they are put up in the same room. These two are so perfect for each other and even though Hannah is educated she is not a snob. Matthew is a drop out but very intelligent and self made and very good at business. They make a perfect couple and if they can keep dad out of their business they may have a chance. All books in this series can be read as a standalone but really why would you want to because they are all really good! This one is another keeper! **Received this ARC for review**

Another great book to be added to the Man of the Month series! All I can say was "I KNEW IT!" I called it. I knew Matthew secretly had a thing for Hannah...No I promise I will not give away any spoilers. But yay! Okay, back to my review ;) J. Kenner does another fantastic job bring us more characters that circle around The Fix. I love Hannah and I felt her angst and anxiety when all she wants to do is start a private practice with her best friend. Matthew is some how (you will find out on the "How" in the book ) thrown in a stunt to be The Man in Hannah's life. I adored how these two grew closer. I am completely hooked with this book and I am excited for the next book. Eeek! Just two left! I loved every single story that has come along.

How quickly this series is flying by. The time span of this book is pretty short. It almost all happens after Mr. September is crowned until Mr. October (Matthew) is crowned. It’s almost a continuation of the previous book since Selma (Matthew’s sister) and Easton (Hannah’s business partner) play a secondary role in this book. This truly is an insta-love story considering Matthew and Hannah have no real backstory. Loved that Hannah wasn’t afraid to be the one initiate their intimacy. My biggest issue and why I didn’t give this one five stars was an unresolved issue and the ridiculousness nature of said issue.

In Too Deep by J. Kenner is Man of the Month book 10. Hannah Donovan is just steps away from starting her own law firm with Easton a long time friend and colleague. The only problem is that the money she was supposed to be able to invest has gotten tied up due to some issues at her former employer. Her only other option require her to be "settled" and since she hasn't had any sort of relationship in months her options are thin. Her friend, and Eason's girlfriend, Selma, has an idea though, her brother Mathew. Mathew Herrington is a successful gym owner with passion and drive. But he is also a drop out and knows that someone as intelligent and put together as Hannah is out of his league. Not that he hasn't wished otherwise. When Selma tells him Hannah needs his help he is afraid that he is going to get burned, but that doesn't stop Selma from making her idea come to fruition. What starts out as awkward friends, progresses quickly to friendship and passion. As they spend more time together something more blossoms, but can Hannah realize that she can have it all, career and love? Can Mathew let go and find that he is not the drop out that he has in his mind and has more to offer? These characters were ones that once together become more than the sum of their individual parts. The complexity of the characters that Ms. Kenner creates continues to impress and book 10 in this series is just as good as book 1. Overall I had fun reading In Too Deep by J. Kenner and enjoyed Hannah and Mathew's adventure together as they found themselves in each other. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free from the publisher in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

We’re down to the last three books of the ‘Man of the Month’ series by J. Kenner, and it’s been quite a ride so far. In Too Deep carries the baton of great stories or yet another month and one more sexy as sin guy. Book ten has Hannah and Matthew as the focus of the story, they’ve both been in other books but now it’s time for their tale, and to get the whole insider look at it, you really need to read the others in this series. Hannah wants to start a new law practice with Easton from All Night Long #9 in this series, but in able to do so, she needs to get her hands on her inheritance from her dad. Unfortunately, it’s tied up, and the only way to get her hands on it, is the show her mom and step-father that she is ready to settle down. But, in order to do that, she needs someone to pretend with her. A fake fiance is in order. Easton’s girlfriend, Selma has the ideal candidate. Her brother Matthew. Matthew is more than happy to help out. MORE THAN HAPPY. It is his dream come true. Well, apart from the fake part that is. He’s had a thing for Hannah for a long time and would love to think he was about to get the chance to show her how he feels. For real. But, that’s not what Hannah’s looking for. Can he keep his feelings hidden? What will happen when Hannah starts to harbor feelings of her own? From pretend to full on love affair, this book held my interest throughout. Matthew was sweet and kind, and Hannah sassy and sexy. These two played off each other brilliantly, the chemistry was spot on. Only 2 more books to go. Griff is next in line and I’m looking forward to reading his story.

sexy, flirty, heart warming IN TOO DEEP is the tenth instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult MAN OF THE MONTH romance, novella series focusing on a fund raiser for the popular Austin, Texas bar known as The Fix. This is businessman and gym owner Matthew Herrington, and attorney Hannah Donovan’s story line. IN TOO DEEP can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion. SOME BACKGROUND: The Fix on Sixth, a local Austin hangout and bar, is in desperate need of renovations and a quick influx of cash so a plan is put into motion, by a group of regulars, a plan that includes a Man of the Month calendar competition, a recipe book, and a reality show aimed at rehabbing the bar. Told from dual third person perspectives (Hannah and Matthew) IN TOO DEEP is a fake fiancé romance that follows Hannah Donovan as she struggles in the face of a more powerful force. Hannah and her best friend and fellow attorney Easton Wallace are about to embark on a legal partnership but the money she had hoped to invest in their business is currently controlled by her mother and step-father, money she inherited but her father controls. Hoping to convince her parents that her ‘relationship’ with Matthew is the real thing, Hannah and Matthew offer up a fake engagement but to no avail. What ensues is the building romance between our leading couple, and the potential fall-out when Matthew doesn’t measure up to her parent’s expectations. IN TOO DEEP is a quick read; a sexy and flirty, heart warming and inspiring tale about two people caught in a fantasy of lies. The premise is engaging; the romance is spicy; the characters are energetic and spirited. The story line ends without a satisfying resolution- I am hoping the author has plans for a more complete happily ever after.

Hannah Donovan needs my help ..... she is the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen so how can I turn her plea down when she asks me to be her fake fiancé for the weekend. Hannah Donovan has dreamed of having her own law firm so when her best friend Easton Wallace offers her a partnership the only thing she needs to do is come up with her half of the start up costs, that shouldn’t be too hard her father left her an insurance policy when he was killed in the line of duty but her mother and her stepfather have put conditions on her getting her hands on the money she needs to be in a committed relationship that they approve off and the only person she knows who may help her is me but will I be good enough for the girl I have only ever admired from afar and will our pretend kisses end up meaning more than I could ever hope for........ I love this series of short reads and for me Hannah and Matthews story is the best so far, the chemistry is sizzling and the storyline is powerful. I’m sad that we are book 10 and that means only 2 more in the Man of the Month Series, I will be sorry to come to the end of this journey with such wonderful couples.

These men of the month are just so hot and I love them all!! Each one has his own personality and each just totally works for me. And I love that each one somehow gets shanghaied into the contest, even when they really don't want to be. I really really hope that at the end, these stories are all put into 1 book so that you can read the entire saga to save The Fix on Sixth all in one! Only 2 more men in the month left - and they're 2 of my favorites!!! I can't wait for their stories!!!

Oh wow, we're almost done with the series and man I'm so invested. I have followed each story from the start and in every review I state the same thing, Each book keeps getting better! I'm so enjoying this series so much, hate to reach an end! In this book we meet Hannah and Matthew. She needs to convince her parents, rather her stepfather, she is happy and in engaged so they can give her inheritance. Matthew is more than willing to play the part of her fiancé to help her get her money. But playing pretend can sometimes back fire on you. After both becoming good friends and get combatable with each other, soon they realize how much they enjoy being together. I loved these two together and their story. Both have goals, both know what they want yet I loved how they realizes their goal can only feel complete having each other. I felt their connection, felt that spark. But As always J Kenner gives us a great steamy and Hot story for us to devoured! I totally recommend this whole series. I personally haven't been able to pick a man of the month, every month I end LOVING the feature man. lol

The connotative meanings when it comes to the title for Mr. October’s book has a number of implications in regards to the hero and heroine, and as the story line progresses, it’s clear that both characters are in too deep, whether it be due to the complications of their fake romance feeling a little bit too real or the fact that the hero is quite smitten with the heroine and has a difficult time downplaying those feelings or it could be the reasons behind Hannah’s need for a fake engagement or even what she has to wade through with her mother and stepfather that has her extremely frustrated and panicked. Regardless of the culprit, figuring out a way for both of them to get what they want is their highest priority, and when Hannah and Matthew figure out that they might just be on the same page when it comes to what they truly want from one another and their ‘fake’ relationship, which means that they need to find a way to turn fantasy into reality without anyone catching on to how their engagement started and that there’s more at stake than they ever thought possible when Matthew agreed to Hannah’s plan, even if he felt she was out of his league. The fake engagement, fake relationship trope is one I know well, and while there seems to be a lot of romance stories that center around this plot line, most that I’ve read lately bring something fresh and/or unique to the story, which is all I need to not make what I read feel so monotonous. In Too Deep works its own distinct angle when it comes to the structure of the story and the reason behind the need to role play as an engaged couple, and it’s clear what the hero and the heroine have to gain from their arrangement, even if what they realize perhaps complicates things…it’s a complication that, I think, they’ll both end up wanting and in some ways, needing. There’s only Mr. November and Mr. December left to meet, which makes me curious about the finale and how J. Kenner is going to give her Men of the Month boys and their significant others the sendoff they deserve…I can’t wait to find out! 4 Poison Apples

Ooh, Hannah and Matthew! What a story. These two held me captivated and gave me All. The. Feels. I was quickly sucked into their journey and I was rooting for them. Their story was hot and sweet!! I love a good relationship out of convenience story. And this one was delicious! They had both noticed the other, but had never tried to pursue anything. However, Matthew's sister had other ideas. She was the mutual connection to get the ball rolling. They found they enjoyed spending time with each other and I adored watching their relationship evolve. This story was so good! I loved this addition to the man of the month series.

Mr. October is sweet, dependable and oh, so sexy. Hannah is in a bind, she needs a fiancé to convince her mother and step-father she is worthy to receive a sum of money left by her father for her. Her good friend Selma, volunteers her brother Matthew as a likely candidate. Matthew has built a successful business but doesn’t see himself as worthy since he dropped out of school. He is drawn to Hannah’s confidence and compassion. As these two put on a show for Hannah’s parent’s, will fantasy become reality? Or will their own doubts and insecurities keep them apart?

So, this was definitely a good read, had steamy scenes, and some emotional ones as well. It was also another quick read, had me flipping pages (electronically) to keep reading and finding out what was going to happen. Matthew is so perfect for this type of a fake-dating scenario. Although he is nervous ahead of each meeting with Hannah's parents, he seems to be really great at thinking on his feet in a manner that saves him and Hannah from most of the questions and accusations her parents attempt in order to split them up, and keep Hannah from her money. Although I have to wonder, why in the world are they dragging their feet so much? I really liked Matthew when we got to know him in his sister's book, and I definitely like him more after this book. I love all the connections to the other stories we get in these books, and I look forward to the last two books and who we will see getting together. Only one really big question/issue I had with this one. It mentioned that Hannah had been with a woman last time she'd been home to visit her parents, and that's why they'd had the issue with who she brought home and giving her trust fund to her. So, was she trying to shock them back then? Bi-sexual? Or what? I'd like some more details about that, and how she is now into a guy, if she'd been into a woman before.

Another winner in this sexy and fun series! Hannah and Matthew's story takes a bit of a lighter turn than the previous few books in the Man of the Month series, at least there is not the element of suspense that I had seen. However, it is light and heartwarming, and definitely sexy as sin! Hannah is a smart-as-a-whip lawyer who needs to pull a fast one over her parents, and she's lucky that the delectable Matthew just can't say no to her. He may feel like he is only a gym rat without an ounce of business sense and below her level, but Hannah sees something more in him. I love this quick standalone, and I can't believe that there are only two more months left in this series! If you haven't started yet, you need to!

A fantastic read filled with all the feels. Hannah and Matthew are working together to make Hannah’s dreams come true. Will his social status be too much? Will Hannah lose the one thing she’s been desperately wanting without realizing it? I’m Too Deep is the 10th book in the Man of the Month series, yet it can be read as a standalone. It’s incredibly well written and a quick, enjoyable read. J Kenner has done an outstanding job of using descriptive writing and had me falling in love with her characters.

I LOVED this read!! From the very first page it drew me in, and held me there until the very end. Hannah and Matthew were perfect together. Each had some insecurities, but they helped each other overcome them. Hannah’s parents??? Ugh. I honestly have no words on how much anger they drew from me. I loved catching up with previous characters from this series, and can’t wait for the next book!!!
