Inferno by Bianca D'Arc

One last task and Megan will be free of the debt of honor owed by her family. Spying on Dante, a powerful vampire with questionable friends, sounds simple enough. But her mission is complicated by the fact she's got something every vampire wants-tangy, powerful, werewolf blood. It's easy to capture his attention. The hard part will be getting out with her heart-and soul-intact. Not to mention her life, thanks to a crazed bomber.

About the Author

Bianca D'Arc has run a laboratory, climbed the corporate ladder in the shark-infested streets of Manhattan, studied and taught martial arts, and earned the right to put a whole bunch of letters after her name, but she's always enjoyed writing more than any of her other pursuits. She grew up and still lives on Long Island, where she keeps busy with an extensive garden, several aquariums full of very demanding fish, and writing her favorite genres of paranormal, fantasy and sci fi romance. A Vampire's only ONE! Dante d'Angleterre is everything Vampire but he is also so much more. Dante has lived a long time and he is not one to forgive and forget especially those who have wronged the people closest to him. After recently helping the two Alpha Were's and their mate the High Priestess defeat an evil Mage who was trying to kill them Dante has returned home bringing with him an old friend and ally Duncan a extremely powerful half fey and a Fey not to be messed with. Megan has only one task left and her ancestors will be able to move on and she will finally be free of the debt owed by her family. Ostracised from all Were society after bad information and bad decisions from her ancestors had led them to make a heinous mistake that could never fully be recompensed. For over a century Megan and her family have worked to right their wrongs but the stain is deep and now it is Megan's time to finally make it right. Megan is requested to spy on Dante, get close to him find out his habits and routines and report back what she found. What Megan didn't realise was that she had been bespelled poisoning her blood so if Dante was to taste it he would surely die. When Dante and Duncan enter the club Dante is instantly drawn to Megan and it's not long before they are leaving together. Sometimes though things are not quite what they seem, Duncan quickly senses that something is not quite right with Megan but not before near disaster strikes. Duncan, Dante and Megan will have to find a way to discover who has bespelled Megan and break the curse as well as find and destroy those who wish to see Dante dead. It will take all of their strengths and a realisation of the role each of them have to play in the prophecies if they are to end this and survive. I enjoyed reading Inferno and found myself enthralled in the story, not being able to put it down until the very end. The Reading order for Tales of the Were so far series is: Lords of the Were Inferno The Purrfect Stranger Rocky Slade

This book is as good as the first Tales of the Were. (However, be ready for a 4 person sex therapy session.) There is a GREAT storyline that develops. It is NOT just sex without a story. There is a lot of depth to this book and characters. She has become one of my favorite authors in a very short time for weres, vampires, dragons, magic, and steamy, hot supernatural sex. If you liked this, also start the Dragon Knights series with Maiden Flight or the Brotherhood of Blood series with One and Only.

Inferno is a 450 page book of Dante a vampire, his friend a half-fey knight, and a half-were woman spy. Very good storyline and it's actually a complete book! As in Lords of the Were, lots of three way explicit sex scenes involving one woman. A favorite fantasy of the author, it seems.

The author of these titles is female. If you've read previous books in this world you would know that the supernatuals patron is FEMALE. Just made the connection and had to share it whith the world. Feminism rocks.
