Young widow, Jane, doesn't want to fall in love again. She was hurt too badly when her husband Tom unexpectedly died in a motorcycle accident. Forced to return home to live with her mother, she is struggling to make ends meet at her café in the small town of Millvale. One day, the property where the café is located is purchased by a land developer. When his son, Anders, comes to inspect the property, he falls for not only Jane's marvelous cooking, but also for her sensational daughter Ellie, a bright girl with special needs. Together, he and Jane might just build something new and extraordinary in Millvale, but will they ever see eye to eye? Will Jane ever admit she might have feelings for someone new? And when will Anders see that sometimes trying to be someone perfect isn't always the answer to building a successful life?
