Elizabeth Lowell writes suspense that reels you in and doesn't let go until the very end. Her books are captivating and I've never been disappointed in any of her books that I've read. If you like danger, suspense, twists & turns, romance but with emphasis on suspense, and definitely a page turner author. Kayla is a private banker and suddenly finds herself in danger. Someone tries to kidnap her. Then she is accused of money laundering. Now she has the police looking for her and the ones who framed her. Now she has a contract out on her. Her path crosses with Rand. He's an artist and his brother was murdered. In his search for the killers, his steps cross with Kayla. Can't reveal anymore without revealing too much. Needless to say, I had a hard time putting it down. Definitely 5 stars. I won this book in a contest. No one asked me to leave this review. All opinions are my own. My apologies to the author for the delay in leaving the review. My computer was in the shop for two weeks.

I have been reading Elizabeth Lowell's books for several years. Her writing style is one that I enjoy for the way she presents her characters and spins her mystery tales. Once you start reading, you can't put the book down. Excellent story and one that is more than probably, a current world affair.

Normally, I really like Elizabeth Lowell's books, even though she writes differently than most authors I read. However, I did not like this book. The characterization was really flat and most of the interesting parts included Grace and Joe bantering. Even the villians in this book were just flat. Skip this book!
