I loved this book! No matter what you're looking for--sports, arts, entertainment, or food, this book is full of information. Good overview of the area, as well as some side trips. Lots of recommendations for restaurants that only the locals know about. I went to Phoenix a couple of years ago, and found some good restaurants in an earlier edition of the Insider's Guide to Phoenix. I'm going back in a few days, and look forward to checking out some of the restaurants mentioned in the updated edition.

I'm a sports guy from New England, and when I visit Phoenix what I really like about the "Insider's Guide to Phoenix" is the great information about the area golf courses and tennis clubs, plus the exciting, fast-breaking Phoenix Suns. I also love Italian and French restaurants which Phoenix has plenty of. Whatever your eating pleasure, you can't beat the guide¿s comprehensive listing of restaurants as well as hotels and motels. I¿m not the tourist type, but if you are, you can find lots of interesting and inexpensive attractions for you and your family to visit, such as the Challenger Space Center, the Hall of Flame and the Arizona Science Center.

If you plan to visit or relocate to Phoenix, you won¿t find a better guide than the Insider¿s Guide to Phoenix (Fifth edition). Written in a clear and friendly style, it thoroughly covers all the basics and then some. Not only does it offer appealing descriptions of hundreds of places to see and things to do, it dispenses lots of valuable advice, such as how to safely hike in the desert (One tip: don¿t go alone). This book by a trio of savvy insiders is the only one you¿ll need for your next trip to Phoenix.
