This is the definitive information and "how-to" book in this field. If you are seriously interested in a career in pharmaceutical sales, you must read this book and arm yourself with the knowledge of this industry that will make your interview an outstanding one and that will set you apart from other interviewees.

Well, I had my interview with (major pharmaceutical company) this morning and it went very well! They were impressed with my personal binder and all of the information that I had gathered about their company. I’ve been invited back for the second interview! Thank you again. I don’t think I could have prepared so well without your guidance. I’ve never felt so prepared for an interview as I do for this one - and that is due to your guide and your wonderful advice!
David J.
I know it’s been a while since I last contacted you. I’ve been working extremely hard to get into the business. I followed your book to the letter and last week I received a job offer from ___Pharmaceutical! The salary, bonus, and perks are way more than I ever imagined I could get!

I prepared my ‘brag book’ just like you recommended. It definitely helped the interviewer get to know me. The way I found out about this job opening was from the local rep, so I had the inside track the whole way. The hiring manager just happens to believe in hiring people that do not have pharmaceutical experience yet so they can be trained.

I think I got lucky to get a biotech job, but I was extremely prepared and ready for the interviews. I went out for ‘ride-a-longs’ and made a comparison between my last job and the pharmaceutical salesman duties.

“Thank you for your book! Someone recently told me that they were interested in getting into pharmaceutical sales. I told them the first thing they should do is to get your book! Thanks again.”
Andy G.
I wanted to thank you for the excellent information I found in your book. I did exactly as you suggested and landed a pharmaceutical sales job the first try within a division of (major pharmaceutical company). I was told that I could put a feather in my hat for impressing everyone that I met. I was even offered more than I asked for.
Kam R.
Thank You VERY much for your assistance and promptly answering my questions. I honestly did not expect you to get back to me this quick. I have followed your book thus far and would highly recommend it to anyone trying to get their foot in the door as a pharmaceutical sales rep. The only regret I have is not ordering your book 6 months ago. I could not have come this far without your insight. Keep up the excellent work!”

Jane, you are terrific!

Four weeks after purchasing your guide, I’ve got the job!!! The district manager kept asking me HOW could I possibly know so much about the job if I hadn’t worked as a rep. It was great!”

Mary C.
Just wanted to let you know I studied your book cover to cover and did everything you said to do and after three (very smooth) interviews I won a pharmaceutical sales position! Thanks.

I wanted to email you sooner but I have been extremely busy studying for my NEW JOB as a sales rep!!! Thanks for all of your help through your great book and excellent advice! I appreciate all of it as I am sure others do too! It is great knowing there are still people who are willing to help others succeed and I will always remember that. I now have a great job with a good company selling top of the line drugs
Matthew P.
Thanks for such a great guide. I recently purchased your Insider’s guide and read it cover to cover. I then read through all of the sample questions and applied to several companies. I received calls for interviews within 2 days and now two weeks later I already landed a job with a Major Pharmaceutical company. They indicated the reason I was given the job over other candidates was because of the “Sales Presentation” I made comparing their major antihypertensive product with another competing product. I feel that if your customers take the time to review the guide and practice their answers they will all be as lucky as I was.

I had interviews with 3 pharmaceutical companies prior to reading this book and each time I struck out. I couldn't figure out why. I,HOWEVER,GOT SMART .. I bought this book and it thoroughly prepared me for my next interview. It helped me to understand how the managers think, what they want to hear and what they want to see. As a direct result of reading this book I'm in the final round of interviews with the 4th Pharm. Company and expect to receive an offer. Be Smart,Be Prepared..... this book gets the job done. GET IT!

This is a great tool, but it seems so 'corporate.' It's expensive and the material is found in other places for less. Try going to pharmasalesmentor.com and get the same content for 1/3 the price. Just my two cents.

Insider's Guide is a great wealth of information. This book is written text book style and provides the fundamentals of a 'how to'. It helped me to understand the business of pharma sales and the rules to interview. I got my job offer yesterday and had to share my good news.I combined a few books and wanted to share my good news with the people that helped me get my job offer.

Brand new pharmacuetical sales rep. Picked up this book before hand and read it cover to cover twice. Interviewed. Nailed the interview. Negotiated a great pay plan and now I am rocking. Thanks to this book and two others.

What a superior career guide! After looking at several books, I found Ms. Williams¿ Insider¿s Guide¿ and used it to prepare for a pharmaceutical sales career. Three weeks after buying the guide, I have a job with Pfizer!! There is no way that I could have prepared for those FIVE interviews without the Insider¿s Guide¿ I wasn¿t surprised by a single interview question. This book is the best investment I¿ve ever made. I can¿t recommend it enough to anyone who wants a career in pharmaceutical sales.

As a professional sales consultant, I am always looking for books that I can utilize as a consultant. The new 7th Edition of the ¿Insider¿s Guide¿¿ is absolutely fantastic! This book offers excellent advice on networking, the pharmaceutical industry and the new physician call guidelines for pharmaceutical sales representatives, understanding the interview process, using personality profiling to your advantage, 150 specific detailed pharmaceutical sales interview questions and answers as well as major pharmaceutical company profiles and contract sales organizations contact information. The book is very well written, professionally edited, and reflects the author¿s credibility. It is easy to see why this book is being utilized by college and university sales and marketing professors for their sales and marketing courses and special sales classes.

This book is very general and half of it is a list of pharmaceutical companies which can be found on the Internet. I was looking for some more insight on how to land the interviews.

I'm a college student who is pursing a career in pharmaceutical sales. After reading this book I feel I have a head start in getting a job as a pharmaceutical sales rep (once I'm done with college). I recommend this book for anyone who chooses this career path.

This book, the Insider¿s Guide to the World of Pharmaceutical Sales, 6th Ed., made it possible for me to get the fantastic pharmaceutical sales position that I¿ve now had for 3 weeks! For everyone looking for help to break into the pharmaceutical sales industry, I can¿t recommend this book enough! Although I had three years of sales experience in another industry, I couldn¿t even get started in the pharmaceutical sales industry because the information you need to know is so specific. I made the mistake of purchasing a few other books before I purchased this one. They all concentrated on research and not on gaining interviews and answering interview questions. This book has 150 specific interview questions and answers and I feel like I answered most of them during my FIVE interviews with my present employer! The entire book is written with very specific pharmaceutical information and does not contain the ¿filler¿ or general type of information that I found in the others. Jane gives pharmaceutical company profiles that tell you exactly how much information you need to know about the company you interview with and she teaches you how to get the latest information about the company. You¿re even taught how to think like a pharmaceutical sales representative and interpret the body language of your pharmaceutical sales interviewer! This was so helpful during the interviews. Additionally, the career comparison guide example and instructions made it easy to prepare this very essential interviewing tool. This made the difference in my interview outcome! That document moved me ahead of the other finalist and I got the job!

Jane, thanks for writing the best book on the market and helping me gain the best-paying position I¿ve ever had! Thanks for teaching me not only what a pharmaceutical sales rep does but for teaching me how to think and respond like a rep! That made the difference for me during my interviews. I was surprised that the pharmaceutical company who hired me would ask so many questions that relate directly to what a pharmaceutical sales representative does, but they did just that. When I read all the questions and answers in the ¿Insider¿s Guide¿¿ I thought that surely no one could be expected to know this much information about the pharmaceutical sales industry, but they do expect you to know the information. Fortunately for me, I was prepared! The Insider¿s Guide was by far the most comprehensive guide that I purchased and contained the most relevant information for passing the interviews. To all of the aspiring pharmaceutical sales reps, my advice is to purchase this guide and then follow Jane¿s instructions to the letter. Even if you have a degree in English like me, you too could beat out the competition and win the pharmaceutical sales position!
