About the Author
Born in Escambia County, Alabama, as the youngest of six children, Joe Milton Murphy graduated with a B.A. from Baylor University in 1953. He obtained an Master of Religious Education. degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary in 1956, and in 1963 a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. An ordained minister, he has served churches in Texas, Alabama, Ohio, Kentucky, and Oklahoma. Since 2008 he has turned to developing the Murphy subdivision in Ardmore, OK. He has previously published two novels and a book of prayers; this is his first work of theology.
