Lauren Blakely has become one of my go to authors for romantic comedy books; there is something about her writing that gets to me every time. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand alone but honestly I would grab Satisfaction Guaranteed as well, it was just as good. This is Jason Reynolds and Truly Goodman and Instant Gratification is a friends to lovers story that ticked the boxes for me. Jason is Malone’s best friend and Truly is Malone’s sister so these two have met frequently and at one point had a wild night of passion. It was great to see Malone and his fiance Sloan making an appearance in the book as well, it is one of the things I enjoy about Ms.Blakely’s stories, old friends are always popping in to make an appearance which really adds to the enjoyment. There is so much to like about all the characters characters Ms.Blakely writes about and I would be happy to have them as my friends. Truly is a successful business woman who owns her own restaurant and bar and is independent and focused, whilst Jason has a unique job as a Best Man For Hire along with doing his podcast’s and is just as successful. The relationship that they both have with Malone is heartwarming and adds an additional layer to the book. The banter between Truly and Jason had me in stitches at time, it is obvious that their relationship is founded first and foremost on a strong friendship that morphs in to so much more. The camaraderie between all the friends and their support of one another is just as amazing. Did I mention the chemistry between Truly and Jason? No? Well it is electrifying and there were times that I could feel it sizzling around them. Instant Gratification will make you laugh, it will make you smile and at times may frustrate you but most of all it will entertain you.

I'm on chapter 8 and not sure I'll finish this book. I don't find it interesting or even mildly amusing.

Leave it to Lauren Blakely to come up with a best-man-for-hire storyline that features a jaded-with-love Brit who gives American men lessons on how to be suave and debonair! Add a secret dalliance with his buddy and best friend Truly, (love her name) who also happens to be his other best friend’s sister. Can Jason and Truly continue to fight their lust for each other and pretend their night of passion years ago never happened? Odds are they’re fighting a losing battle, and the odds are even better that you’ll love this sexy romance just as much as I did.

Friends to lovers standalone book, Jason and Truly, a twin brother best friend, one night that changed everything. Their chemistry can't be denied. I loved seeing old friends from other books. Instant Gratifaction by Lauren Blakely is the next book in her Always Satisfied Series. Instant Gratifaction is a standalone. I recommend to read the previous books, Delayed Satisfaction and Satisfaction Guaranteed, first. You'll have a better understanding. Back to the book. Jason Reynolds is a businessman and Malone's best friend from Satisfaction Guaranteed. He helps his sister and in general he's a good guy. Truly is Malone's twin sister and both have a ons. Best friend and little sister never works. Instant Gratisfaction is a great read with a sizzling storyline, excellent written and with characters that made me laugh, made me swoon and at some point I was sad too. The book is a witty, humorous, swoony rom/com of it's finest. 5 Stars.

Rating: 2.5 stars The best part for me here was I loved how the hero has been and still is really into the heroine, despite how the lady does protest too much about why they can only be friends after a previous one night stand. He tried to respect the relationship lines in the sand she claimed she couldn’t cross out of fear of alienating her brother if things didn’t work out. However, it is pretty obvious both of them really wanted to give into temptation again and again and again due to the attraction/torch they still carried for one another. The flirty, non-stop, back and forth banter was proof of that. I must admit it started to get too repetitive and inappropriate language/comebacks started coming out of their mouths considering they claimed to just be buddies. Friends don’t talk to each other that way, folks. It did truly feel they were just spinning their wheels for a very l-o-n-g time. especially since at midway through they still weren’t a couple. It is also time to fess up I didn’t really buy into the reasons they claimed they couldn’t be together. Putting a sibling or a friend’s feelings or wants before their own lifetime of happiness is a popular, overdone troupe in romantic reads. I can’t help but feel it shows lack of good judgement and immaturity in a main couple. Living your life to please someone else never works out well. The shoe was on the other foot, so to speak, regarding the hero’s reluctance to commit to a forever type of love again. Yeah, that baggage was a hurdle, too. Just lurking in the background ready to surface and add to this constantly on-going relationship angst. Proof I struggled with weighing the good aspects of the story vs the not so great is I found myself repeatedly putting the book down. About midway through, I realized I was finding it all rather exhausting. Sure, I wanted them to be together, but with half of their journey behind them with little to no progress, something else came to mind. If you want instant gratification involving a main couple that are a couple through most of the book, this story line doesn’t live up to the title. A lot of time is spent on career coffee talk conversations and irrelevant cameo appearances of sub-characters. All of which kept interrupting the romantic plot. At 65%, I realized a heck of a lot of time had been wasted. The writing was starting to wander all over the place. Here’s to hoping others really like this book. All in all, I enjoyed parts of it but I need both both main characters to be on board and fight for love. Not keep making excuses and talk themselves into a different reality. Heck, based on how quickly the heroine brushed off the hero after a quickie in a car because other things came before him, I’m not sure why he even wanted to be with her after that. Again, I’ve read these same elements so many times, for me it did lack the originality I’ve come to expect from this talented author. I'm still a huge fan of her work. It one just isn't at the top of my favorite list. Title: Instant Gratification, Series: Always Satisfied (Book 2), Author: Lauren Blakely, Pages: 350, stand-alone but part of a series, flirty, dirty talking, smexy, back and forth banter, self imposed can’t be together drama, friends to lovers relationship angst, slow paced, graphic smex scenes. Rating: 2.5 stars Book 1 - Satisfaction Guaranteed Book 2 - Instant Gratification Book 3 - Overnight Service I voluntarily read/reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I enjoyed Jason and his quirks, but I will be honest and say I was a little disappointed in the story as a whole because it felt like for most of the story, Truly was a secondary character. I was mostly frustrated because it felt like Truly had no real opinions of her own. Whenever Jason was feeling flirty and lusty, Truly just went with it. When Jason was having doubts, Again, Truly just went with it. She never expressed a differing opinion, and **SPOILER** even near the end when Jason tried to get her back, she just went along with it and did not even acknowledge his awful behavior. She did not stand up for herself at all, and since we got a very limited view of what she was feeling, she felt like an afterthought to Jason's story.

Instant Gratification was a delightfully entertaining romantic comedy with just the right mix of humor and heart. I loved the relationship between Jason and Truly and absolutely enjoyed their flirty banter. Between the sizzling hot chemistry and sweet moments these two shared I was hooked. The secondary characters added another riveting layer to their story and I can't wait to see which characters story is next. If you enjoy engaging romantic comedies with all the feels and characters you can't help but adore then this story will give you Instant Gratification.

RomCom perfection from the incredible Lauren Blakely! This is a sweet, flirty, charming, sexy and funny friends to lovers story that also has the best friend’s little sister dilemma thrown in for good measure. Jason, the sexy Brit is so swoonworthy, charming and funny. He is also Malone’s best friend. Truly is a sweet, funny, smart businesswoman who owns her own bar, and also happens to be Malone’s sister. Truly and Jason are very good friends and run in the same circles but they have kept themselves firmly in the friend zone, except for that one time. One time it seems rocked their worlds so much that neither has been able to forget. This story is so much fun and amazing, the dialogue incredibly witty, and the sexy times are steamy. Jason and Truly are made for each other!! What more could you ask for? I absolutely loved everything about this book!!!

Lauren Blakely writes the best friends-to-lovers stories. Jason and Truly were a lot of fun to read about. I really liked the witty banter between them and how they came together as a couple. And when they came together as a couple... HOLY HOTNESS! It was great to read the cameos with the Big Rock group. They are all such a lovable group of characters. I have enjoyed all their stories. I can't wait to read Presley and Josh's stories next! ♥ Review by Lys

Another romcom hit by Lauren Blakely. This brother’s best friend, friends to lovers storyline is scorching hot, sexy and laugh out loud funny. Jason and Trudy’s connection and banter will have you hooked until the end. I enjoyed the past storyline characters making an appearance as well as new characters, hinting at new stories. A must read.

Witty romp of a good time. “You don’t give in to instant gratification when you have a lifetime of friendship between you.” Oh my - this series is SO MUCH FUN!! These two are smart, funny, and totally friends who everyone knows has the hots for each other. And did you see that cover - OH MY - that is totally my vision for Jason and Truly is just plain awesome which as Malone’s twin she’d have to be. You don’t have to read Malone and Sloane’s book first, but it gives you a glimpse into these characters and is another good romp. I loved everything about this book even when I wanted to bang Truly and Jason’s heads together over their stubbornness. “’re both so g**d**n stubborn and ridiculous.” This book was fun, flirty, and outright awesome. ...but for the record bacon IS THE most perfect food. I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.

Instant Gratification was just that, gratifying! I loved everything about this funny and lovable brother’s best friend/friends to lovers romance. When your brother’s best friend is a hot English gentleman that has mad skills behind closed doors, you can’t help but fall. The same is true for said gentleman falling for his best friends beautiful sister. Especially since Truly and Jason spend so much time together. Their “fake dates” don’t feel fake and the temptation is there. Can they surpass all the obstacles they think are in the way of their relationship. Love, laughs and spectacular friendships are definitely in the air!

3.5* Instant Gratification is another steamy read from Lauren Blakely. This time we’re treated to a blossoming brother’s best friend romance between Jason and Truly, who are themselves good friends. But Malone, Truly’s twin brother, is Jason’s best friend, so after sharing one steamy weekend months ago, Jason and Truly have put their attraction to the side and are now “safely” back in the friend zone. Yeah, okay. That might have worked if these two weren’t constantly in each other’s presence- working out, flirting, hanging out, flirting, and now working together, and flirting. They just can’t stop the FLIRTING no matter how hard they try. Or not try. And the teasing, good lord could these 2 tease each other. It’s a wonder they didn’t combust from all the sexual tension rolling off of them- they really did have some great chemistry. Instant Gratification was entertaining and I enjoyed how focused they both were, on their jobs and succeeding at whatever they put their mind to. While I liked both Jason and Truly, this book didn’t grab me like previous Blakely books have. Although brother’s best friend is usually one of my favorite romance tropes, there are times, or rather books, like this, when I’m reminded that it can also be completely frustrating. But surprisingly, it wasn’t for the reason you’d expect in this one. I know this review is kind of all over the place, but this book was a hard one for me to put my feelings into words. I liked it, then it was okay, then I loved parts, but then I didn't. I think I'll give it another shot on audio- I haven't listened to one of the fullcast audios and I'm quite intrigued.

Wow! What a wonderful story. Truly and Jason are one hot and sexy couple. These two can't seem to keep their friendship from developing into more than it is. They have both had a crush on one another for years and because of Truly's brother they both agree that anything more would be a mistake. Problem is they are having a hard time sticking to the plan. I found Jason so charming and charismatic. He really is the Modern Gentleman. Jessica is a savvy businesswoman who owns Gin Joint and is the twin sister to Malone who we met in Satisfaction Guaranteed and the best friend of Jason. The two agree to help each other with their businesses and keep everything platonic between one another. Big problem is neither can deny the strong attraction they have for one another and the more time they spend together the harder it gets. The chemistry between Truly and Jason is so strong. At times the two appear as a well established couple to those who meet them. I like that as time goes by and they spend more time with one another both begin to question why they can't put their love first and let others know how they feel about each other. I also enjoyed all the secondary characters. some are ones we have met before like Spencer and Charlotte, Malone and Sloan and Nick and Harper. we meet new characters, Gavin, Enzo and Chip and their ladies as well has Jason coworkers, Troy and Sully. I can't wait to read about more of these people! Wonderful HEA! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I love when the implications of a story’s title don’t quite ring true…when it seems to indicate one idea but then as the book begins and continues, that meaning holds little significance and, in fact, leads to a much more complicated understanding. Instant Gratification, the two word title of Lauren Blakely’s latest release, seems to imply that pleasure is experienced ‘without delay or deferment’ and when it comes to Blakely’s hero and heroine, Jason Reynolds and Truly Goodman, even though they gave into their desire for each other one-time, they immediately declared it an ‘incident’ that would never be acted on again, meaning that what could have been described as ‘instant gratification’ now becomes ‘delayed gratification,’ but hopefully not ever due to a number of mitigating factors - one being the fact that Jason is Truly’s brother’s best friend. There’s attraction, chemistry, and a more than friends’ connection between Truly and Jason, which means that it’s going to be way more difficult for them to remain just good friends when they can’t stop thinking about their one night together and how desperately they both seem to want more from each other, and the fact that they spend so much time together and even become key players in each other’s businesses complicates an already tenuous situation, but I feel like these two intelligent individuals can figure things out in a way that doesn’t destroy the people they care about but also gives them a chance for more. I found Jason’s business quite intriguing and he seemed to have it down to a science, offering services that, surprisingly, were in demand, and while it’s a strange occupation, he kills it, which makes sense given his dapper looks and sexy accent.Truly’s drink recipes are a nice touch and relate to not only her business but also to some aspect of the story line, making them interesting as well as thought provoking. I’m a huge fan of Lauren Blakely’s romantic comedies and one of the main reasons I find them so entertaining is because of the way she writes the hero’s point of view. I love how she takes readers inside her male characters’ heads and offers honest and hilarious insights about the male gender and their idiosyncrasies. I also enjoy Blakely’s books because even though they may start with similar plot lines, the unique conflicts and/or content that’s added keeps my interest and offers quite a few varying perspectives, which is not something that most writers provide. 4 Poison Apples

This book left me gratified! 5 stars I love Lauren Blakely rom-coms, and this book gave me such gratification! I laughed, I smiled, I swooned, so it had everything I love in a rom-com! Jason and Truly were magic together, even when they were stubborn and I wanted to slap them upside the head! I love that Truly was a strong woman with her own business and had strong relationships with her brother and friends. Jason really was the modern gentleman but a sexy beast in the bedroom. Like I said, they were magic together. I definitely recommend this book if you like a fun, quick, sexy read that will leave you gratified! I received a copy of this ebook from Candi Kane PR for my honest review.

I have to say I love a well written friends to lovers book and this one is near the top of my list as a favorite. The book featuring Truly and Jason (along with getting to visit characters from previous books) was the perfect amount of friendship mixed with tons of swoon. A great read!!

Lauren Blakely writes the best friends to lovers romances. I adored Instant Gratification so much. Lauren did a great job mixing the humor with the oh so sexy. Truly and Jason's story made me smile all the way through. The queen of the romcom delivers again. To say Jason and Truly had really great character chemistry would be a massive understatement. These two radiated off the page. Their flirty banter and innuendos were everything. The more time they spent together, whether it be fake dating at wedding, doing research at an English pub or enjoying a game at Yankees stadium, it was obvious (to everyone) how good they were together. We first got a glimpse of their connection in Satisfaction Guaranteed. With Truly being the hero's (Malone) twin sister and Jason his friend we also got that delicious brother's best friend forbidden tension to really build the tension. Instant Gratification gave me Mister O -Nick and Harper- vibes. And because Mister O is still one my all time favorite books by this author, I couldn't be happier. Speaking of Nick and Harper. There is a special place in my heart that houses my love for all of Lauren's characters. So...all the cameos in Instant Gratification from so many of my favorites made me the happiest person. I loved reading about what the Hammers were up to or about Charlotte being her badass woman boss self. I will never tire of catching up with these amazing characters. Instant Gratification is rom com, yummy goodness. If you want a sexy British hero and a girl power, smart and sassy heroine, you need this book!!

Terrific friends-to-lovers romance! The first thing you notice about this book is how clever and witty the characters (and the writing) are. Jason is charmingly arrogant; he knows he's attractive but he also realizes there's a lot more to life than that. He's got a lot of irons in the fire to keep up with his obligations, making him feel as though being a workaholic is the only option he has right now. Truly is his best friend's twin sister, the yin to his yang, and the one he can always count on when he needs a woman's perspective. For Truly, Jason is the safe guy, the one she can let her hair down around, the one who can keep up with her and challenge her without ever whining about her own workaholic approach to life. "That one night" six months ago keeps popping up in their memories, making it extremely difficult to keep each other in the friend zone, even though that's exactly what each of them wants. This story follows their assorted and complicated interactions that sift all their buried feelings right to the top of their to-do lists. This is an instantly captivating book, one with loads of humor interlaced with steamy tension and overwhelming emotions. It was a perfect delight to read, and it included many cameos from their friends who were featured in earlier books and some who will be in future books by this author. It's a wonderful world in which to escape, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Being gratified never felt so good!! Instant Gratification is the second book in the ‘Always Satisfied’ series by my favorite rom/com author, Lauren Blakely. As usual, this book is full of sexy, funny, drop dead gorgeous and adorable characters. Add in the ‘British’ element and her female cast are drooling in their pints, or they would be if they drank beer like that, lol. Truly is American, through and through, while Jason is the quintessential Brit. He’s a gentleman to his core but that doesn’t stop him from being sex as sin. He and Truly have been friends for years, and have quietly lusted after one another. But, Truly is Malone’s sister. You remember Malone from Satisfaction Guaranteed? Yeah, so instead of the ‘bro code’ it’s the ‘girl gate’ stopping them. Well, that ‘gate’ only stays up for so long. They’ve given in to their feelings once before, it’s only a matter of time before the whole wall is tumbled. Jason and Truly are so sweet together. They’re also hot as Hades and it’s obvious they are meant to be. Will Malone agree. Women are more level-headed than men when it comes to their family/ best friends getting together, aren’t they? Grab your copy today and find out in this laugh out loud romance.
