As an SLP I've seen some hairy books in my time but this one takes the cake. The book itself contains good information but it is tough to pick out the facts amidst the rolling waves of words. Usually I need information in a hurry so I have never used this book as a reference tool because it would take me all day to pick out the information I needed from this text. Folks, there are much better books out there that will tell you what you need to know. The phrase 'keep it simple...' does not apply to this particular book. Plus it is written at a graduate-post graduate level so those who are still in school at the graduate level will have a much harder time interpeting it than I did. I really couldn't imagine anyone using this book at the undergraduate level even in a honors class, it just is not written at an understandable level for that population.
