About the Author

Lia Riley writes offbeat New Adult and Contemporary Adult romance. After studying at the University of Montana-Missoula, she scoured the world armed only with a backpack, overconfidence and a terrible sense of direction. She counts shooting vodka with a Ukranian mechanic in Antarctica, sipping yerba mate with gauchos in Chile and swilling XXXX with stationhands in Outback Australia among her accomplishments.

A British literature fanatic at heart, Lia considers Mr. Darcy and Edward Rochester as her fictional boyfriends. Her very patient husband doesn't mind. Much. When not torturing heroes (because c'mon, who doesn't love a good tortured hero?), Lia herds unruly chickens, camps, beach combs, daydreams about future books, wades through a mile-high TBR pile and schemes yet another trip. Right now, Icelandic hot springs and Scottish castles sound mighty fine.

She and her family live mostly in Northern California.

As I said in my review for Carry Me Home, I'm sad I didn't read this Off the Map novella sooner. But, I'm still glad I read it now. It was nice to get more from the four major secondary characters in the series all at one time between the two novellas. But again... now I really want to go back and reread the entire series. I miss Bran and Talia. Into My Arms, however, is the story of "Z" and Beth. Theirs is an unconventional pairing for sure, as he is her boss and barely looks at her, yet pines for her. He's calm, cool and collected and Beth wants nothing more than to get a reaction from him. Little does she know, she already does... he just hides it. I love a good office romance and that's part of what drew me into Z and Beth's story. This one went pedal to the metal from the first page and I couldn't get enough. I wanted to know Z's secrets. I wanted him and Beth to get together. I couldn't wait for the seriously intense sexual tension to explode. And when it did? Wowza. Hot times. This novella was short, but sweet and sexy and thoroughly enjoyable. While it can be read as a standalone, I don't think I would recommend it that way. I think you definitely need to read the series and have some knowledge of the characters, some connection to them, to fully enjoy the experience here. Plus, you know, the Off the Map series is wonderful and you should read it anyhow. Just don't be like me and push the novellas to the side. :) I received a copy of this book from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. FAVORITE QUOTES: "You kiss me with your eyes every time you look at me." "Who knows when our chapters will end? None of us know how long our stories will last. All we can do is make sure the pages are filled with life." "And you think we can write a happy ending?" "I don't know, but I'd rather try than not."

This book is in the Off The Map series and labeled as Book 3.2. It can be read as a standalone, but I always caution for readers that enjoyment and understanding is better if you go in order intended by the author. Beth Jacobs works as an assistant for Aleksander Zavtra aka "Z". She works hard, and has nothing to show for it - thank to her parents. With roommate problems, a demanding boss, and stress making her eat more.... what is a girl to do? Aleksander is going through a lot at the moment. Desire for Beth is nearly killing him. A friend from back home on her deathbed may finish him off. Can he reach for the one thing that can help? This short story was just lovely. It had honesty, banter, sexy times, and so much more! I found the hero to broody and intriguing while the female lead was strong and suffering. We can easily relate to these characters and the book flowed right along! ***This ARC was given by and its publishers for an honest review.

I received this book through in exchange for a honest review. Into my Arms is a short romantic story that has you guessing what is gonna happen next. Z is a young CEO of a empire and Beth is his Assistant who has never seen Z until this one night when he finally decides to seek out love again. This is a fast read but it leaves you wanting to know more about Z & Beth and their story!!! Thank You to Lia Riley for writing a story that leaves you wanting more!

3.5 stars---INTO MY ARMS is the latest novella in Lia Riley's contemporary, new adult Off The Map romance series focusing on a tight knit group of friends. This is billionaire businessman Aleksander "Z" Zavtra, and personal assistant Bethanny Jacobs' storyline. Beth is Z's assistant-a man she has never met face to face, but a man who is the focus of her fantasies and dreams. Told from first person point of view (Beth) with a few short chapters from Z's point of view, INTO MY ARMS is a short story that focuses on Z's need to feel; to touch; and to let go of the past. Both Beth and Z's personal back stories are rich in heartbreak, betrayal, pain and loss but Z is a man who hasn't felt the touch of a woman in seven years, and he is drawn to Beth like a moth to flame. What ensues are Z's awkward attempts to get to know his personal assistant while hating the man behind the mask of his successful billionaire facade. The attraction between Z and Beth is immediate but Z's methods of seduction are questionable and alternatively frightening. He is a man possessed with his need for Beth but his reasons and actions border on stalker and obsession. The relationship is very quick to develop considering the employee/boss dynamic, and Z's abnormal attempts at 'getting to know' Bethanny Jacobs. We were first introduced to Z and Beth throughout Talia and Bran's developing story (Off the Map 1-3): Beth is Talia's best friend, and Bran currently works for Z at Zavtra Tech. Z's best friend and bodyguard Katya- a man whose relationship to Z is heartbreaking and sad-is Z's constant companion as there are no other discernible people in Z's life aside from Talia and Bran. INTO MY ARMS is a quick read that reveals Z's heartbreaking past and his need for control, but also to what extent he is willing to go to for Beth's friendship and touch. Saying that, there is a bit of a 'creepy factor' as it pertains to Z's initial attraction to Beth-one that Beth will become too readily aware and yet our heroine doesn't seem to be bothered by the reality of what was and what is to be. If you are a fan of Lia Riley's OFF THE MAP series, it will be nice to revisit with Beth and Z but I felt that their story was rushed and without enough relationship

Actual Rating: 4.5 Stars “I want to tear down his walls, merge reality and fantasy.” I absolutely adored this book. It was a perfect novella. I’ve been curious about just who exactly Z is since his character was first introduced. I was really intrigued about reading Z and Beth’s story. See Beth is the hard working assistant for Z. She’s always been curious about the sexy, mysterious man that she works for. Z is dark, curt, ruthless and has a need for control. He’s been dealt a tough hand in his life. He is the guy that she loves to hate. Little does Beth know that Z is attracted to her. Beth captivates him, makes him want to feel, to be touched. And for one weekend, Z decides that he’s going to take the plunge; finally make his move on Beth. What will happen when the lines blur between Beth and Z?? Into My Arms was a quick and easy read. It was fast paced, sexy, and intriguing. I loved the chemistry that Z and Beth had. They really challenged one another. It was fun waiting to see if Beth would go with Z’s plan. My only complaint was that their story was over. We just barley touched the surface of these two characters. They were very likable and different from the characters in Lia Riley’s other stories. They drew me in and left me begging for more!! Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I wished it would have been a little bit longer, but was happy with the way things worked out. Into My Arms is a nice addition to the Off The Map series! *I was provided an ARC copy of this book, via the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.*
