Into the Arms of Madness: A Novel of Suspense by Regina Pacelli

What if it appeared that the person you love and thought you knew so well you really didn't know so well at all? In this horrifying psychological thriller, a newlywed's unusual obsession surfaces while on honeymoon.

Young newlyweds Todd and Bridget met at a two-hour seminar and took an immediate liking to each other. Smart, caring, and quick-thinking individuals, very much in love, they've been devoted to each other and like two peas in a pod right from the start. But, when Bridget learns bizarre and alarming things about Todd, things that he's kept extremely well-hidden from her until their honeymoon, their idyllic romance begins careening out of control.

Todd has high hopes and wants nothing more than for Bridget to understand and be part of his world.

As Bridget struggles whole-heartedly to understand things and put their future back on track, and their idyllic romance begins careening further and further out of control, the events that unfold will put their sanity and love for each other to the ultimate test.

In a struggle between love and madness, which one will prevail?

How this could be called anything but silly is beyond me. I won't say what Todd's problem is, but, the fact that his wife did'nt run like hell is beyond me. Can not recommend at all!!

I have mixed feelings about the author's writing style. On one hand, it was concise and fast-paced; however, it was too wordy about minute details and didn't provide enough character development. Furthermore, the plot was too far-fetched for me to enjoy or appreciate. It was just strange. ***I received a free copy of this book, and in exchange, I have provided an honest review.***

Into the Arms of Madness is a harrowing tale of madness and intrigue. It begins with a wedding. Todd and Bridget celebrate their lovely wedding and get ready to begin a happy life together. Only when Bridget wakes up the next morning she starts to notice that Todd’s behavior has changed. Author Regina Pacelli takes us on a thrilling ride that leaves us asking ourselves how well do you really know someone and how much can love overlook? The suspense builds as Bridget wonders what is behind Todd’s peculiar behavior. Pacelli sets the pace with precision lending to the frightening moment we discover what Todd has been hiding and how will it affect Bridget. Pacelli brings every emotion to life with carefully constructed dialogue and superb narration.  For a suspenseful and exciting mystery you’ll be sure to love, I highly recommend it!

A Chilling and Intense Read I have to say that I haven't read such a darkly intense and thrilling book like ''Into the Arms of Madness'' in quite a while. Author Regina Pacelli sets a intriguing and chilling tone as the story unfolds, exploring the depth of relationships and the reality that we really don't know those we are in love with half as much as we imagine we do.  The story is fast-paced with a striking narrative that really draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat as Todd and Bridget's once promising honeymoon begins to unravel as shocking secrets are exposed and the tenuous link with reality and sanity begins to sever. Using vivid imagery and strong dialogue, this is a story that keeps you on edge and eagerly flipping to the next page over and over. It's rife with tension and emotional upheaval, making for a truly thrilling and thought-provoking read.

This is one of those books once you start reading it you won’t be able to put it down Telling the tale of a newly married couple Todd and Bridget, it recounts their honeymoon and the events leading up to it and right from the moment you turn the first page you can feel the tension and turmoil the relationship it put under. The author has done a great job with the characters particularly Todd who you can almost feel the secret he hides eating away at him. If thrillers with twists are your thing then you will really enjoy this as the storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat A really good read

I am sorry, but I really could not buy into the premise of this book. It kept my attention for the first quarter of the book, up until (spoiler ahead), Todd told Bridget that she had eaten a human steak and drank human blood in the food and wine that he had prepared for her, while they were at the cottage. Buy a clue, lady - it is time to run and never look back. But not our Bree. She loves him. I love my husband too, but if he started to feed me human flesh and blood, I would call for professional help immediately, not forgive him and do nothing! That is just silly. Then the family being so complaisant about Todd's problems and insistence on NOT getting him professional help was beyond all common sense. I was not at all happy with the premise - even though the writing was pretty sound. If the author would keep to a plot that doesn't strain credulity as much, she could be quite good.
