Despite everything I've done for my parents, I'll never be good enough for them. Instead of seeing a man to be proud of, they just see an embarrassment. I served four tours in Afghanistan but that doesn't mean anything to them. They only see the ink, the party life, and my short stint in jail.

And nothing else.

When they were in trouble, I handed over my life savings. I didn't think twice about it because they're my family, my blood. They raised me to be my own man and gave me everything I needed. It didn't matter that it was every penny I had. It didn't matter that the money was set aside for my future. My dreams.
Because they needed me.

But now they refuse to pay me back until I become the man they think I should be.

I have an unusual professional.

I escort men, acting as their date to family functions or work parties. It's my job to act deeply in love with my client. And I always nail it.

But it's not what you think.

I'm not a prostitute.
I'm not a call girl.
I'm an actress.
Get it right.

There are strict rules when it comes to my profession. There is no touching, kissing, or anything but hand-holding. Those who choose not to comply will get a swift kick in the nuts.

But all this goes to hell when Ash walks into my life.

About the Author

E. L. Todd was raised in California where she attended California State University, Stanislaus and received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, then continued onto her master’s degree in education. While science is interesting and a hobby, her passion is writing. After writing novels as a small child, her craft grew until she found the confidence to show her closest friends—which is how Only For You, the first installment of the Forever and Always series, and the Soul Saga series began. When she isn’t reading or writing, she is listening to indie rock music. Her current favorite artist is Mumford and Sons, whom she credits most of her inspiration for her novels. She also enjoys running and swimming, as well as working as a high school teacher. She also works as an assistant editor at She has an unusual obsession with dogs, even though she doesn’t own one, and her favorite vacation spot is Disneyland, which she visits several times a year. The most important aspect of her life is her friends, whom contributed so much time and energy into all of her novels. According to E. L. Todd, “Without them, Only For You and Soul Catcher never would have come to fruition. I am theirs forever.”

Wow. This book was hot! I enjoyed these characters so much! Ash and Alessandra are smokin together and the tension sizzles! Trust me from the moment you open this book you will be sucked into their world. A world where Ash can't get his parents acceptance and Alessandra never experiencing things Ash brings to light within her. The flirtations, sexual innuendo, humor and heart will make you swoon. That Ash... I'd keep him! Man.. Trust me. Read this book. You will not be disappointed! It's hot, sexy, filled with amazing characters, ink and don't forget the piercings! HA! 5 stars! *Recv'd this book in exchange for an honest review*

The blurb fascinated me with this one .. I tend to veer towards a ‘bad-boy’ & thought it would be fun, saucy and full of masculine action with the mention of Afghanistan and jail. Ash certainly lived up to his pre-conceived image and in a weird way I quite liked him. He didn’t live up to his parents’ expectations though and this is where Alessandra comes in as the ‘fake’ girlfriend to give him some credence .. of course true to most ‘romance’ books they rile each other in the beginning and then realise there is some actual chemistry between them. Maybe I’m getting blase about romance/love stories .. there was some tension and it held my attention it seemed overly long for the end result. It was fun and enjoyable but nothing out of the ordinary. Thanks to the author and Tasty Book Tours for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

Ash is ready to strike out on his own and open his own business; but to do that he needs the money he loaned his parents. Unfortunately, now that they're back on their feet, they're refusing to repay the money unless Ash "turns his life around." Which basically means conforming to their way of life. Ash is incensed but sees no way around it. The easiest to achieve seems to be the "finding a nice girl" part. So Ash hires an escort to pose as his girlfriend. Several dates for the benefit of his parents should do the trick. He didn't count on Alessandra. Alessandra provides a service to those who, for one reason or another, need a date or the appearance of a girlfriend. She's strictly business and enjoys what she does. She's surprised by Ash since he's nothing like her typical client. Dinner dates with his parents quickly morph into hanging out together and a mutual attraction they can't help but act on. Ash has always been up-front about not being interested in relationships but that suits Alessandra just fine. This is just a fling... until suddenly it isn't. There are cocky, arrogant guys - and then there's Ash. He often crossed the line between cocky and totally obnoxious (and had a less-than-charming pet name for Alessandra that made me want to hurl each time he used it). Even so, he was usually likable. It's hard not to appreciate a guy who is completely unapologetic for who and what he is. Alessandra, too, was likable and it was easy to sympathize with her reluctance to get involved again after her break-up with her jerk of a boyfriend. It was fun to see both characters, especially Ash, refuse to accept what was happening between them. His obvious care and concern for Alessandra was quite a contrast from his rough exterior and love 'em and leave 'em past. Despite their relationship moving at lightning speed, it was apparent these two had met their match in one another - if only they would admit it to themselves and each other. Into the Fire is a fun, entertaining, sexy read. Recommended for those looking for a quick read that's low on angst and heavy on the sexy times.

4 Inked-Up Stars! Sexy, Fun and Entertaining! The Review: Into the Fire is a fun, heartfelt romance filled with naughty and clever banter, sexy character interactions and a hero you can’t help but fall in love with. Told in alternating POV’s, you’ll get hooked the moment you open this one! Ash is as cocky as they come. He’s completely full of himself and totally oblivious of his own inner self. But it works for him. He doesn’t take life too seriously even though he’s been through some tough times. He likes living on his own terms and he makes no excuses for it. He’s honest to a fault and he’s loyal to his friends and family. He’s also kind of a manwhore. After loaning his parent his life saving so his father's business didn’t crumble, he’s desperate years later for the loan to be repaid so he can pursue his own dreams. However, his parents think he’s wasting his life and decide not to pay the money back until he changes his irresponsible ways to suit them, including settling down. Ash is definitely against settling down, so this is where Alessandra and her company, Gorgeous Entourage, comes in. Alessandra is a wonderful heroine. She’s straightforward, sincere, funny, intelligent, beautiful and sweet. She’s also a platonic escort who Ash hires to play his girlfriend. Right from the start, Ash rubs Alessandra the wrong way which causes a little bit of friction but also a very well written, tension filled, slow build to romance. Alessandra isn’t looking for a real relationship and is perfectly fine playing the girlfriend, helping those who need someone as a showpiece only. She has strict rules for her own protection, but Ash breaks through her barriers and her rules. These two were great together and their salacious chemistry was super hot! There were a lot of lively and entertaining scenes in this book as well as a few emotional and angsty ones. The author did an amazing job bringing the characters to life with their amazing bedroom play but also with their everyday life and their “getting to know you” moments. Though there was an instant attraction, there wasn’t an insta-love and I enjoyed watching these two friends, who were so opposed to finding love, come together and finding a real, true, solid foundation to build their romance on. Both Ash and Alessandra were likable and I connected with them instantly. And that ending? Perfection!! But... I will say there were some scenes that felt overdone and drawn out. There was two or three times I felt the story got bogged down with dialogue and character resistance. And on occasion, Ash’s actions were immature and I don’t mean because he was learning to grow as a character but rather the author wrote him in a way that made him seem much younger than thirty... at least to me. However, those rare occasions didn’t take away from the story as a whole. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I can say that I am definitely a fan. She did a great job pulling me into Ash and Alessandra’s world and by the third chapter, I was already rooting for them and their happy ending. I’m certainly looking forward to reading her other books!

Smoking hot, panty melting 5star read . . . I was blazing hot once I finished this. I loved the tatted hot guy with a serious passion border-lining on an obsession. The dual POV made things more interesting. I found this to be a fun, sexy-sensual, yet entertaining read. I was anticipating the next page turn. I am patiently waiting for more from this series. I found Ash to be a self-center, over confident, self-aware, un-apologetic, sexy as all get out and much more. He knew who he was. Why he was that way. And made no excuses for the circumstance. Ash is defined as the sexy, hot, alpha, with issues and not doubt about who he is. He knows what he want and have no problem going for it. He had things all figured out. That is until he meet. . . Into the Fire (book 1) I received of copy of this book for an honest review. I love EL Todd, I have read a few of her other books and absolutely loved that moment when I started reading this book that made me go hey, wait a second. I loved the Beautiful Entourage series and loved that girls are now doing what the guys did in their series. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the chemistry between Ash and Alessandra. I thought the story was well paced and enjoyed the time it took Ash to really understand how he felt. I started and finished this book in one sitting and can't wait for the next book in this series.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book! I wasn't sure I was going to at first. In the beginning Ash seemed very immature but as I continued to read, I understood that was on purpose. The author needed to make Ash seem superficial on the surface and the more you read the more you come to love him, which is exactly what happens to Alessandra. The author did such a good job of peeling back the layers of Ash's character. Honestly, the more I read the book the more it hooked me. I read this in one day...stayed up late just to finish it. This was my first book of EL Todd and now I'm going to go back and read the Beautiful Entourage books.

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review. This is the first E.L. Todd book I have read and I will definitely be reading more, couldn't put the book down. As the blurb says this is a romance between a bad boy tattoo artist and an escort he engages to convince his parents he has changed his ways. As an escort that only provides a date experience, with no sex, it is needless to say there are very few dates where funds are exchanged. They soon become friends with benefits before a misunderstanding that results in the ceasing of contact. It takes them both awhile to realise how they feel about each other and continue on the path of a relationship. Loved the twists in the book, each time you though you knew what would happen next something happens to put the relationship back a few steps. Great characters, great story. 1 like ·

Into The Fire; By E.L Todd. Into the fire brings you a super hot, steamy read that keeps you mesmerized with its sexiness right through to the last page. Alessandra isn't what you would call your average, normal girl; she is an escort! ( But not what you're thinking) Alessandra is apart of a company that escorts men to functions - posing to be a girlfriend. Alessandra finds her life shaken up when Ash enters her world; The tall, solidly - built, bundle of smoldering sexiness, covered in Ink; Ash could not be any hotter! Ash finds himself in need of an escort in order to gain back something that is owed to him. Can either Alessandra or Ash change their single minded lifestyles, are they able to settle down; or are they forever stuck in their ways? You'll find your - self completely captivated by this very well written story. I personally Loved this ride! It's full of hot, sexy scenes; that leaves you feeling hot and bothered. We have Ash Ex- Soldier in Afghanistan, Inked; Full of arrogant cockiness. This screams fast page turner! The characters are very well developed, you watch them grow, and in-turn falls with the difficulties that is everyday life. This superb story wrapt's you in its pages so much so that you feel all the emotions, tension, sadness; hope and love. I fully recommend this book as a 5 Cream Queen Stars.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for an honest review. Into the Fire, was a fun easy read, no big emotional baggage just two people going happily through life. Ash as a tattoo artist aspiring business owner, and Alessandra an escort. Why does hot guy Ash need an escort you ask? In a nut shell, his parents are jerks! (like you want to throat punch the mom, after the first time she opens her mouth, jerk!) We get dual POV in this book, no cliffhanger. I am going to keep this review simple. I don't want to get to deep into the story line and ruin it. What we get in this book is pretty straight forward. Alessandra is open to finding a relationship, love, marriage, kids the whole shebang. Ash is perfectly happy Skating through life being the hot, arrogant (for good reason) bed hopper he has always been, not willing to change for anyone. When Ash and Alessandra meet up to discuss the rules of their business arrangement Ash goes to great lengths to explain to Alessandra he is not boyfriend material, he never wants a girlfriend, wife, kids or monogamy. The interaction between Ash and Alessandra is the best part of the book. Their dialogue is funny and believable. By believable I mean, Ash and Alessandra stay true to who they are throughout the book. We see changes in both Ash and Alessandra but they are gradual, organic nothing changes mid page that leaves you wondering, “what the hell just happened”. I loved that. We also see bits and pieces of Ash’s friend Sawyer, I would’ve liked to see some more of him, but on the other hand, I did like that the book concentrated on Ash and Alessandra and not a bunch of secondary characters. It actually was a nice change for me to just read a book and not have all the outside distractions of secondary a storyline. We get more of Ash and Alessandra. We get some great sexy love scenes, some drama, and of course love, that has both Ash and Alessandra fighting it to the end. Ash might have been a little to thorough during their initial meet and greet with his long winded, “don’t ever fall in love with me.” ;) E.L. Todd gives us yet another great book. Looking forward to what is coming next.

*I received this ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review* INTO THE FIRE by E. L. Todd Ex-soldier and tattoo artist Ash is tired of working for someone else, he wants his own shop but he can't get a loan due to a low credit score. His parents refuse to give him back the money he lent them until he becomes the man they think he should be. They don't see a man to be proud of they just see an embarrassment due to the past, they don't think that tattooing is the best option for him. Until they come up with a weird idea, that if he can find a good girl they will lend him the money. But that's not him and he needs to find away to get the money without the girl. Alessandra has an unusual profession. She's an escort but one who doesn't have sex with the clients. She is simply a date to family functions or work parties or where it is they wish to go. It's her job to act deeply in love with her clients, and she always gets a result. There are strict rules, no touching, kissing, or any type of contact besides hand holding. And if you do, you will learn the hard way. Until Ash walks into her life and it all goes to hell. This was a awesome book. It was an interesting and captivating read, and held my attention throughout the pages. I loved the main characters, they were well defined, likable and had great chemistry. There were some hot scenes. Ash's friend was a little bit of a idiot but you always have one in a story. The dialogue throughout the book was funny and entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This book has a few minor issues but nothing that I think took much from the story. A very enjoyable read!

Ash hires Alessandra to play his girlfriend. His parents want him to find someone who will change him and he cannot have that. He just wants his parents to pay him back them money he loaned them. Alessandra impresses his parents and it goes rather smooth. What Ash didn't count on was wanting to spend time with her. All the time. What did he ever do without her? Ash is more than just a client. Alessandra will have to change her plan where he is concerned. She is more than attracted to him. She likes his humor, his honesty, his loyalty to his parents... This is such a sweet and yet smoking hot read. I found the banter entertaining. The story has such a good pace also. ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

*I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review* While I have heard of E.L. Todd I had not yet read one of her books, and I'm so glad this was my first! Many books I have read that tell the story from alternating viewpoints usually turn me off when it comes to reading from the guy's point of view, but with this book I almost enjoyed Ash's chapters more than Alessandra's! I loved watching Ash fall in love with Alessandra and not even realize it, especially when he was confused over his feelings for her as opposed to every other girl he's been with. It was also filled with sexy and steamy scenes (and really made me think about piercings...) mixed in with just enough romance to give you the feels!! And I don't want to post any spoilers, but I seriously laugh out loud at the last dinner with the Ash's parents scene where he called Alessandra by her nickname! Overall, I would say this book is sexy, funny, full of playful banter, and makes you feel for the characters when they're going through their tough times. I would highly recommend it and the author. Looking forward to the next book in the series, but I'll be off discovering her other books until then!

I received an ARC for an honest review. I'm now going to summarize the book for you (that's what the synopsis is for). What I will do is summarize what I really liked about the book and something I might would change (without going into too much detail and giving away spoilers). What I liked: *the characters were likable and easy to relate to, especially the secondary characters like Shelly *the story flowed fairly fast, I didn't feel like the story was dragging in anyone place enough for me to get bored *the story line itself was interesting! I didn't ever feel that it was something I had already read in another book 10 times over What I didn't care too much for: *I felt like Ash may have repeated a line or two a few too many times, mainly saying something derogatory towards Alessandra (name calling), that wasn't really addressed. He would call her names, feelings would be hurt, then it was kind of forgotten almost...I just think there should have been more groveling for the way he talked to her a couple times! *I also felt like Ash didn't "figure things out" fast enough, like he may have played dumb too long and it got a tad annoying. Overall I really enjoyed this book! I had never read anything by this author before and so I jumped at the opportunity to read and review it! So many books these days are very cliched, but I never really got that vibe when reading this book, it definetly had its own "personality". Would for sure read other books by this author and I'm excited for more books in the series to come out.

Ash and Alessandra's story is awesome. They are normal and down to earth and struggling like everyone else so you can really relate to their feelings and what they are going through. Love this author because she writes from both characters point of view, so you can feel what both of them are feeling. This makes you want to root for them and hope they find their way to one another. You know the moment they meet that something amazing is going to happen and that they will be each other's happily ever after if they will ever wake up and see what is right in front of them. Ash is very protective of Alessandra, especially after he realizes she is the one! Ash's parents were being very difficult in Ash's opinion but things would not have turned out so wonderful if they hadn't been. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!!

Into the Fire is a phenomenally breathtaking story that will knock the very breath from your lungs while it seers itself into your very soul. Not many stories can enter your life feeling like such a hot mess and then turn around and touch your heart so fiercely and completely like this one did. I was taken by complete surprise, and I truly loved every minute of it. While this isn’t your conventional love story, it is a fantastically unforgettable one nonetheless. Ash isn’t what you would label as boyfriend material in a million years. He is rough, rude, and highly caught up with himself at first glance. However, it’s the second glance that will hook you. What you though you saw is only a thinly veiled mask that hides a wounded heart, a tender soul, and a deep yearning for something that he can’t name or comprehend. It’s only when Alessandra enters his life that things slowly but sloppily begin to fall into place for him. There is a contentious push and pull between these two that will tear your heart to shreds while it warms and teases it with a glimpse of something great yet forever illusive. One wants something more while the other just wants to figure out what they want. Neither can argue with the growing feelings and emotions that the other brings out in them, but neither is willing to risk to their heart to push for what they both want. Will they finds themselves at a stalemate forever, or will one make the hard choice to walk away and hope to find what they desperately need? Ash and Alessandra piqued my interest like no other couple with their calculated yet precarious relationship. They danced around and tripped over their feelings until their heart bore too many calluses to count. What they wanted and what they were willing to give up always kept them at odds with each other while their heart was screaming to give up their stubbornness and just give in to what they both needed. While watching the lives of other may show us a clear picture as to what they should do, we can never see our own lives in that same view of clarity. To us, it is cloudy fog that haunts us and toys with us and tempts us to risk everything and yet nothing at the same time. When will we learn that following our heart will lead us to what we have been searching for all along whether intentionally or accidentally? This is one couple that will take your heart on a daring and intricate rollercoaster ride that you will never forget! I loved every minute with them, and I know you will as well. E. L. Todd is a brilliantly surprising and incredibly imaginative author that will wrap your heart into knots within the first few words of this story. She clearly knows how to grab your attention and keep it with a laser focused intensity. I look forward to reading more of her books if they are anything like this beautiful masterpiece. You will not think the same after you walk through this amazingly emotional wringer of a breathtaking love story, and you will thank this author every second of it!

Read. This. Book. !!! This is a perfect example of an awesomely sizzling contemporary romance. For me, this was one of those "I can't put it down, I would rather read it than sleep" books. This was my first E.L. Todd book, and it will not be my last! Alessandra was fantastic. She was very level-headed and openly transparent with Ash (except for one very important tidbit that caused the conflict in the latter part of the story), and she is one of my favorite heroines. Ash is cocky and full of himself, but his actions towards and his reactions to Alessandra were so endearing. The premise of this story was so unique, and curiosity pulled me in from the beginning. I was absolutely not disappointed with any aspect of this book. Oh, except that it ended ;) Everything about this story was just so well done. The writing flowed smoothly, the love scenes were HOT, the characters had depth and it made me a HUGE fan of E.L. Todd! ***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
