About the Author

It's said I was launched into space from birth and I haven't been back to Earth since.

There might be some truth in that.

As a reader I love science fiction with great plots, interesting characters, exotic locales, all accompanied by a sense of wonder with optimistic endings. As a writer, I love the same.

She saw the two cats. She wat hed them for a moment wondering what was happening, then quickly gathered some cobwebs, Marygold, ad a few poppyseeds. She hesetated, racking her brain for other herb that whisked back to the Hawkclan camp.

He gasped. "Wait-wait up!"
Thrushsong bounded after.
Darkfire burst in, prey in his mouth. He saw the cat and chased after it.
Dovepaw and Ebonypaw followed.

It's been a long time since I've read a book cover-to-cover; Into the Forest Shadows is quite the page-turner. The blending of science fiction and classical fairy tale is very, very well done, and the titular Forest has a character at once its own and very much in key with the forests I know and love. It has a bit of a slow start (until the Big Bad Wolf shows up, at least!), and I caught a few spelling mistakes on the way through. There also are some characters who really needed more development, and some little pacing issues, thus the 4/5. Would buy again, will read again, and I will definitely be looking for more by the good Marlow.

Absolutely enthralling. Ihave read this classic fairy tale many times as a child, and many more to my own child, but this is the first time I have seen it done for adults. The characterisation is spot on, but we have come to expect that from Marlow. this author has yet to let her fan base down in this department and all others with her unique story telling.
