Time travel murder mystery from Steve Stone. Check out the storyline, & great reviews;

20 July 2017. Post-Obama, Colonel Lance Tucker is Commander of the next generation X-33 space shuttle Intrepid. The American & Russian Presidents convene for an historic dual launch.

As devastating Hurricane Ernie approaches, notorious international assassin 'The Chinaman' guns down both leaders, reigniting the New Cold War.

General Jack Nelson orders Intrepid to travel back in time to change history - with hindsight, stopping the assassin should prove simple.

But who is The Chinaman? How does he know Lance's every movement? Senator Darrell McKay is helpful, but does his sinister Head of Security Vivian Kort have a hidden agenda?

And what's out of place in TV footage of the double shooting, The Chinaman's car, & his unsuccessful assassination attempt on McKay?

The Chinaman's game of cat & mouse ultimately proves as dangerous as General Nelson's plan to destroy the super-storm with a secret neutron bomb..

Time travel murder mystery. 2/3rds of action takes place on Earth. Will appeal to mystery, sci-fi & action adventure fans. 83,118 words.

'Absolutely top-notch writing! Stone is in a class by himself!

Master writer Stone's follow-up to his brilliant first scifi/thriller Intrepid.. is like reuniting with old friends, Col. Lance Tucker & Gen. Jack Nelson are back!

Combining 2 genres, thriller & scifi perfectly is the sign of a superb writer. Excitement, thrills & extremely well drawn characters are even more refined in this 2nd book.

I was taken from the very 1st page, & the action, twists & intrigue did not let up until the last word.

In creating 'The Chinaman', a ruthless yet far from stereotypical assassin, Stone has shown the ability to fine tune villains as well as heroes.. a testament to writing acumen.

A villain the reader will not soon forget!

The plot includes time travel with the goal of preventing an assassination.. sub-plots & twists & turns are so deftly handled.. the parts of this unique book come together to form a very satisfying whole..

the 2nd book in a series, the negative is that I will now have to wait to read the 3rd instalment! This series is THAT GOOD!'

'The stages for The Two Storms are set.

One is a political one when the Russian and American Presidents are shot, the other is a devastating hurricane.

As with reading any sequel I always set the bar higher, and for this one I wasn't disappointed.

The characters all fall into place & are easy to keep up with. Confronting a hurricane with a neutron bomb from a B-2 Spirit gets serious cool points as well.

Going against mother nature comes with an awesome sense of class this round.

But first the Intrepid crew will have to survive another attempt at time travel to get behind the storms with enough time in their hands to prevent them.

After that, saving the world from a Cold War comes down to taking on street gangs to get to bottom of who The Chinaman is, & just as importantly, who he is working for.

I was left right up to the very end trying to figure out the mysteries of identities here. I will read on to Intrepid - Revelations.'

'Steve Stone works at the tough but exciting interface between the thriller & the hardest of hard science fiction.

In this second part of his four-book series, we find spaceflight, gangland violence, high politics & a clutch of plot twists.

Based on deep research & imagination, the series has delivered plenty already & the final two volumes promise much more.' Martin Ince, Science Journalist
