I am currently enrolled at Hannibal-LaGrange College in a class where this textbook is used. I have found that the text provides a great deal of information, as up to date as possible in this field. The information provided is often given in a very wordy format with use of technical language that is often times difficult to understand as the average end-user. The many charts interrupt the flow of reading and at times seem to complicate instead of help. It is useful to have key words bolded so that one does not have to search the entire text. Overall the book is satisfactory, but would be better used by someone who has prior knowledge of the technical side of computers. I feel that the text needs to brought down to the level of the average college student.
