Invincible Warrior: A Pictorial Biography of Morihei Ueshiba, the Founder of Aikido based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
A book great for someone just getting into Aikido and for those who've been around the block once or twice. Even though Mr. Stevens has written several biographies of O-sensei, the pictures make this one come alive. It's also a wonderful collection of pictures of a different world. It's easy to forget how much Japan, and our world for that matter, has changed since the turn of the 20th century, and how many of these important events O-sensei was around for. From his days in a wild Hokkaido to post-war Tokyo, we can see, and not just read, so much of the adventure of O-sensei's life. It's a real treasure for the casual and serious student of Aikido and history.
One of the most intriguing men I have ever read about. Not Just a martial artist but an enlightened man who knew God and Truth in their most simple and rewarding form. The life story of Morihei Ueshiba will challenge any person's faith and revolutionize what they beleive is possible. Some of the feats Morihei accomplishes with ease force one to face the fact that he had more than technical and physical ability, he was most assuredly tuned-in spiritually. Superb for anyone on a quest for knowledge and the unabridged truth.
