I have to say that although Mimi's language was a little strong for my taste I really loved the nature of her characterization. The author did a great job of quickly establishing her personality and belief systems so her behavior though unconventional never comes across as a gimmick or done for shock value. The other character in the story is Aden and from the moment him and Mimi begin talking online you like him. The author, Harper Miller is an assured writer who clearly knows how to build a dynamic character within a short period of time. I truly felt like I knew who he was just from his reactions to Mimi. The book keeps your interest and engagement through out and the ending is pure genius. My only caveat would be that the story really could have really used a short sequel so as not to "waste" such a cool ending to this brilliant short story. I loved it and would definitely recommend for any reader who enjoys heartwarming characters in erotic scenarios! LOL!

This is the story of Mimi and Aden. Mini is a successful attorney. She’s beautiful, confident, and not afraid to speak her mind. After winning a big case, and going through a sexual drought, she decides to quench her thirst with a little online fun. She meets Aden in a kinky singles online chat room, they hit it off, and decide to meet the following evening for a date. The chemistry between these two is scorching from the beginning and stays that way. Two consenting adults indulging in their kinks. Their date is full of hot sex, but will one night be enough for them?
This is a very short novella—33 pages—but the story flows and it feels longer. Harper does a very good job of keeping the reader engaged.
Ironic is the first book in the Kinky Connect Chronicles series. I really liked it, and I’m looking forward to the next installment.
I received this ARC for an honest review, and I give it 4 stars.

**I was gifted an eARC for an honest review*
Harper has done it again. Within a short amount of pages, Harper has me chuckling at Mimi and loving Aden.
The two met when Mimi was searching for some...um, you'll have to read the novel.
But, just know what she went searching for, she definitely found in Aden. The chemistry is off the charts.
Even though it's a short, I was invested in Mimi and Aden, and wanted the best for them.
Loved every single thing about this short, and can't want for book two in the series.
Well done, Miss Miller. Well done!
