For weeks, the residents of Springside had witnessed sightings of strange lights in the summer sky. For Carrie Williams, the sightings were similar to something she and her brother Sean had experienced as children, but Sean's memory of those events was surprisingly different than what Carrie recalled. When Sean comes to town to visit Carrie, he quickly begins to believe that events indicate that "something" had returned and appeared to be looking for Carrie. They would need the help of her friends to investigate as well as try and keep Carrie safe. Carrie knew her blocked memories of that long-ago summer held the key, but would she be able to remember in time?
