Is This Me? - Tricia Copeland 4-star review Is This Me? By Tricia Copeland is a great college romance read! I enjoyed this story through and through! This is the first book in Tricia’s Being Me series, a series that I can honestly say that I’m so looking forward to reading. This story is sweet and real with the perfect amount of drama, humour and the perfect blend of characters. I loved Amanda’s story as it was so relatable and realistic. I loved Tricia’s attention to detail, it made it so easy to feel as if I was right there with the characters, going along to the classes, to games and to parties. All of the detail made it easy to connect with Amanda from the get go. She was experiencing everything that I once had and that most do, which made me feel so invested, I can’t wait to read book 2 so I can follow along with these characters. This is a book I would definitely recommend to others.

Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland is a wonderful story!! This is not the first book I have read by this author and it will definitely not be the last. I love the author's writing style, she does such a good job drawing you in and making you feel like your experiencing the story. Amanda is just starting college and we get to go through all the emotions she's going through, meeting new people including a boy she has a crush on. As we know things aren't always that cut and dry when it comes to starting out new. We get to watch Amanda grow and mature in this story and try to balance what she wants people to know and what she doesn't. She is a very strong character and relatable. There are also supporting characters that are really fun to meet. I highly recommend this book, it is a very well thought out and written story. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!!

Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) By: Tricia Copeland 5 out of 5 stars The story Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland is a coming of age/new adult romance book. This is the story of Amanda. She has just started her freshman year at college when she finds herself injured both physically and emotionally. A crush that she has doesn’t go as planned and she also finds herself needing help with her day to day life. Amanda is someone that doesn’t like to depend on others and would rather try to take care of herself. She is playing down her physical injuries and not being truthful with her friends. Will she continue to keep her friends and family in the dark in regards to the hard time she is having? Will she continue to avoid her true feelings? I enjoyed reading Amanda’s story. It gives a very real depiction of how chaotic the beginning of college is and how emotional it can become. I also enjoyed reading about how many of the secondary characters want to be supportive and helpful to Amanda. The interactions between them often turn humorous. I really felt for Amanda when situations happen that upset her. She is a character that I wanted everything to work out for. This is the first book I have read by the author and the first book in a series. I look forward to reading more of her stories. She has written a book that is easy to read, full of emotions and one I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page.

Is This Me? (Being Me book 1) Tricia Copeland 4 star read Is This Me? is the first book in Tricia Copeland’s Being Me series. This book proved to be a believable story about college life, friends, romance and balance. It was very well written and the characters are very identifiable, specifically Amanda. There were times that I wanted to step in and be a big sister to Amanda, maybe tell her to smarten up, especially when it comes to her love interest (Doug). The investment in Amanda and her feelings is what makes this such a good read to me, how many times in life do we watch people we care about go through something we have already done and want to help all while realizing it’s something they must figure out on their own? Being Me is definitely a series I would like to continue reading, I’m looking forward to seeing more of Amanda’s character progression.

Is This Me ? ( The Being Me Series , Book 1 ) By Tricia Copeland ⅘ Stars This isn’t my first time reading this author. Her books are really enjoyable and always entertaining ! Now this one, is highly relatable. Amanda embarks on her first year in college. Some things don’t go as planned and she finds herself hurt and depressed. Not exactly how she wants wants to start off her college life. Will she be able to turn her life around and be the person she desperately wants to be? Tricia has the ability to write about fictional characters, who seem real. Like they can be your friends or family. I highly recommend this book for young adults, maybe starting college or still in high school. It’s a great read, with fun and intriguing characters! Great job, Tricia! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for us in the second book!

Is This Me? by Tricia Copeland is the first book in her new Being Me series and what a great opener. Following the story of Amanda and her journey through starting college and her becoming an adult. Navigating through this new world that she is thrust into, Amanda becomes painfully aware of how she imprints herself on those around her and how they leave marks on her life as well. Watching Amanda grow into the woman she was meant to be, starting new relationships and developing new and deeper friendships we get a special view into her mind, and get to see with vivid details and imagery of the emotional roller coaster that is now Amanda’s life. Copeland is an old favorite of mine from her catalog of books, but this one so far has been the best of her books I’ve read yet. If you are looking for a great book, full of amazingly written characters, and a storyline that will keep you pulled in from page one until the end. This is definitely one that needs to be picked up by everyone and anyone!

Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland is a new age-college-romance that kept me engaged until the last page. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite of hers. I enjoy her writing style and her creative plot line. Her attention to details made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. I easily found myself connecting with them on top of it they took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. This is a story about Amanda. She thought that she had it all with her going to a top college with her best friend. Her lies are piling up after her crush goes completely wrong. Will this be how she starts her adult life? Will she figure out what kind of person she wants to be? I enjoyed Amanda's character. She is level headed person who has been known to deviate to the wild side. Amanda's crush is a man that I am not sure how to feel about at first. As the story went further, I think I started changing a little bit. I enjoyed watching Amanda learning to come into her own as she becomes an adult. She really grows throughout this story. She knows her feelings and he struggles with them. One of the emotional things in this book is how she keeps to herself and starts to withdraw into herself. I felt for her when she was feeling this as so many people really do go through this. I highly recommend this book. Find out what happens when this young adults learn to grow up and search for acceptance.

I normally read new adult fiction with a supernatural/paranormal twist, so I was not too sure what to expect from Is This Me?. I expected it to be a fairly light read but found myself blown away by Copeland's writing style and became thoroughly absorbed by the plot. I liked Amanda; she's a level-headed young woman who occasionally deviated from the straight and narrow path that she was following when living with her parents. Copeland did a great job of demonstrating the struggle of maintaining a balance between study and life, and she made Amanda engaging and approachable to readers. I despised Amanda's crush, Doug. Don't get me wrong, Copeland did a great job of developing his character. He comes across as an unempathetic d**k who has nothing better to do with his time than to string Amanda along. He reminds me of some of the men I've known, and nothing would have made me happier than to read about him taking a long walk off of a very tall building. I'm not too sure if Copeland wants her readers to think of Doug in this light, but I did. I only mention my thoughts about Doug to demonstrate what a great job Copeland did with the plot and the characters. I was emotionally invested in the story and empathized with Amanda's situation. I half-expected Is This Me? to be a fluffy read; however, it is pretty substantial and touches on several issues that young adults face when out on their own for the first time. It is also clean and brings up the issue of sex before marriage without coming across as preachy or goody-goody. The book is marketed as "new adult;" however, I think a girl as young as 16 could read this pretty easily while avoiding bringing up issues that parents haven't already discussed with her. I have a sister-in-law who is still in high school and a Catholic; I could easily gift her this book for Christmas, in front of the entire family, without worrying about the content.
