I have loved this series from the moment I read the first book, Aberrant!  Fantastic characters, fantastic stories, fantastic world building.  The entire story takes place in the future and, in this book, there are some familiar place names that make you understand that this is our world far in the future.  The damage that has been done to humanity is devastating with all sides fighting to fix it.  But it is the reasons behind the desire to change things that can be dangerous. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book, always keeping you guessing.  The suspense was definitely hyped up, with the reader never entirely certain who was a good guy and who was not from moment to moment.  Much of the cast were characters that we have known throughout the series, but there were some new ones, too, which added to the "who is good, who is bad" suspense and uncertainty! The author is terrific at building a world that, even though it may geographically be ours, is almost unrecognizable in its dystopian changes.  That really highlights the idea that not only are we visiting the future world (with the year 2225 being far in THEIR past), but that the world is very different from that which we know now in 2013.  She gives you enough detail to form an idea of what the world looks like, with just enough room left for the reader's imagination.  For me, I imagined a world a lot  like that which was shown in the Denzel Washington movie The Book of Eli.  Destruction, chaos, and corruption with occasional civilized areas. Things to love about Isaura...    --The world.  As I said, it is beautifully built and perfectly sets the stage for this epic story.    --The suspense.  The twists and turns, the uncertainty, the mystery... it was perfect. My recommendation:  This is not a standalone novel, needing Aberrant and Moirai to form a complete story.  But this is entire series is absolutely wonderful!

As I sit down to write this review, it is bitter sweet. This series has been a great surprise in a year where I read close to 300 books. The three of these being some of my favorites, it comes as no surprise that the ending to this epic trilogy did not disappoint me. So as we move into the new year, I was excited to see Isaura come across my email to end the year on a high note, but a sad one as well. I fell in love with Olivia, Joshua and all the other character from the future country of Cabal and really cared about where they were going to go from the end of the second book to here. I have to applaud the author because the story never got redundant or boring, she kept it fresh and introduced new and invaluable characters to the series at exactly the right times, at places that the main characters either needed them or need them to exist to defeat. For example, Isaura and her crazy evilness was necessary to progress the new government and where these towns where going after the revolution started by Olivia and crew in the second book. Henry, the leader of Spade, was needed to give a contrast to the newly formed government. Both characters made this book better along with moving the remaining cast from previous stories in different directions. Adding some elements of fairy tale such as the Through the Looking Glass reference and other magical elements was creative and really helped the story feel new and exciting. You're left feeling so much hope emanating from these pages by the end of this story that you knew these people were going to be okay, and I was happy with that. Olivia, to me, was the shining star throughout but she really reached her peak in Isaura. She remained her tough-as-nails self, but matured further than I expected. She took responsibility and that leader position that she had been avoiding for two books. She made choices that were difficult and really made them with a resolve that I don't think we would have seen at the beginning of this series. Despite what she tries to convince you of throughout, she is more than most people are, she is special. She is Aberrant. This final story solidified that for me and I am so proud of her. The purpose of a finale is to wrap up all the little loose ends and this book did that to a healthy satisfaction. Of course I would have loved to explore every nook and cranny of Spade and Cabal but there wouldn't be enough pages in the world to ever truly run over everything in this world, but as an ending....this rocked!

A fan of Ruth Silver's Aberrant series from the beginning, I couldn't wait to read the third and final book in this series. Isaura definitely didn't disappoint. It was packed with action and unexpected twists and turns. I never really had a sense of where the story would wind up. This was a fitting end to a unique and compelling dystopian series.  It's always bittersweet when you reach the end of a series with characters you've come to love. It's wonderful to find out where the story finishes, but it's sad to let them go. I adored Olivia and Joshua from the beginning. Their relationship had its ups and downs, but their love and devotion kept them strong. Both of them really grew into their own in this book. They matured tremendously, accepted their powers and were just wonderfully strong people, the perfect hero and heroine.  A quick and easy read, I breezed through this in a couple hours time. As I started to reach the end of the book, I was torn between desperately needing to find out the conclusion and not ever wanting it to end. If you're a fan of young adult dystopians with strong characters and lots of action, you have to pick up this series. You won't be disappointed. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Isaura, Wow, Just WOW! That's the feeling this book gave me! Ruth Silver always leaves me feeling this way when I finish one of her books, and Isaura is no exception! I was on the edge of my seat, needing more! That's why I love reading anything from her, because I know I am going to get the ride of my life! Isaura will leave you breathless, and demanding more, as you go through a world like none other, full of magic, time travel, and love! It was beautifully written, and ended perfectly! I couldn't ask for a better ending to an amazing series! THE PLOT Olivia has been through it all, and its not getting any easier! The rebellion is falling apart, plans are failing, betrayals are made, people are revealed, and worlds are crumbling down! And to make matters worse, Olivia's husband has been kidnaped by the sadistic governor Craynor, and he has taken Josh and vanished without a trace! But that won't stop Olivia because she's determined to do anything in her power to get him back before its too late! But as Olivia travels the vicious Gravelands in search for Josh, she come to realize that Governor Craynor is not the only threat out there. And that others could be lying low, waiting for the perfect time to strike! Only thing on Olivia's side is knowing that her Mindonsiphan training gives her an advantage that others don't have, but even that can only take her so far! So Olivia must build allies in the town of Spade if she's going to save Josh, and fight whatever else is after her! But who are they? What do they want? And most important, what are they willing to do to get what they want? Olivia will call on strength and powers she never knew she had, as she fights to save herself and her friends from the threats threating to take control and claim innocent lives. This is it, this is what it's all came down too. It's the end, and one side is not walking out alive. But which side will it be? Olivia and her allies, or the other people hell bent on bring pain and suffering to their world? Well you want those answers? Your going to have to read the last book in this explosive trilogy, that you won't want to miss! Doesn't that sound amazing? It is!This is the simplest I can put my emotions into words. Isaura will leave your heart pounding, hands shaking, and emotions-racing, as you travel through time and back! Yes, I said time and back! You weren't expecting that aspect were you? I know I wasn't when I started it, but it was just an another amazing surprise! Bottom-line, Isaura ROCKED!! It ended amazingly, the plot was fast-paced, and emotion-packed, with romance, drama, and fight to save humanity, with all the lose ends tied up! It just couldn't get any better! Only complaint I have, is that they're won't be another book! I want more of Olivia and Josh and their action-packed adventures in Aberrant. But if it has to end, I am so happy it ended they way it did! Come on Ruth hurry up and write something else, because I need more of your EPIC adventures! :-)

Olivia must now face her biggest enemy ever. Joshua has disappeared and things just get even worse from there. She has helped take down an evil government but now is hunted by that same government when her secret powers are revealed. She has to show she isn't the bad guy, find Joshua and help the world get to a normal state. That may be hard to do when she is being chased and hunted by a crazy power hungry person with powers of her own. The secret is out and no where is safe. Wow this book takes so many twist I never saw coming. You learn so much more about the powers what effects it has and why Olivia and Joshua seem stronger than others. There is lots of tragedy in this book as well as hope. I love how Olivia even scared does whatever she can to keep her friends safe. She is thrown into some hard times and has to fight to get back to those she loves. While she has to do some hard things that do haunt her she just wants people to know she isn't a monster. She has many trials to go through in this book and the author does a great job wrapping it up. At times I wish it was more detailed as it skips forward a few times but other than that it is a wonderful book and series.

I was so excited to get a hold of this book, I just had to know how it all ended, and this one did not disappoint at all! It is filled with action, romance, everything you would want in a great story. Olivia and Joshua are my two favourite characters for this series for sure, I love how they interact with each other, and even after everything that they go through, they are still in love and are best friends. The plot twist in this part of the trilogy was probably my favourite out of the three, I didn't see it coming, and it added an extra spin on everything that I think was a perfect way to end the series for sure. All of the secondary characters played a major role as well, and there were a lot, but it was not hard to keep track at all and you pretty much knew where everyone was on the side of good or bad. I cannot imagine a future where we are told when we are to conceive children, and how many, and who we are to marry, etc. but I am very happy with the ending, and if I had to live in a world like that, I would choose Spade as my home that is for sure! If you have not picked up this series yet, you have to do it, you will love it just as much as I did I am sure, this book get a 5/5 from me!
