Overview

Judas Iscariot, Gaius Marcus Gracchus, Antoninas Flavius Pompey: three men as different as any three men could be, but all forever linked together. Judas, a criminal to the nth degree, was offered a second chance for a respectable life when he met Jesus. For a short time he embraced that respectability, but it didn't take him long to turn to his old ways. Gaius Marcus, a Tribune, a general, a man of honor, a man of justice, Judas' ray of hope: he wouldn't help Judas out of the mess he created, but he would try to help Jesus out of the mess Judas created. Antoninas, author, playwright, stirs up trouble by writing plays highlighting the excesses of Roman nobility. He sees Gaius Marcus as a source for a play to end all plays, one that implicates the Emperor himself. Their common bond, Jesus Christ.
