About the Author

Dawn Potter is an artist and children's author. She is currently writing a new book about her hilariousBoston terrier, Niko. Dawn is a full time mom and works for a children's art studio. After purchasing a magnolia tree with her daughter, Dawn lost her car keys and was stranded in a home improvement store parking lot. She came up with the story of Isobel's Tree while entertaining Isobel as they waited for a second set of keys. The story idea behind Isobel's Tree has taught Dawn that all things happen for a reason. Often we forget that bad luck is sometimes "good luck" in disguise. Dawn, a Chicago native, lives with her family in Toronto , Ontario , Canada .
