Many people are trapped in their everyday lives nursing struggles that were brought on by the things they suffered. Thinking that's just the way life is, most people accept their discomforts as normal. They learn to live their lives around the elephants in the room. However, God revealed in Isaiah 61, that the Lord came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. I was one of those people, trapped by the insensitive and unkind words of my father, "As far as I know, she could be the "Milkman's Baby." That phrase, "Milkman's Baby" left me branded for years as I struggled for a place to belong. Two carelessly spoken words caused me fifty plus years of mental anguish that emotionally separated me from my mom. However, through God's strategic plan, He guided me from the valley of self pity where I wore a victim's cloak, to stand free at last, on the mountaintop.
