About the Author

John Harris Sheridan comes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, his father was a lawyer and his Mother was a housewife. John had three brothers and one sister; Thomas, Harry Eleanor and Denny. John joined Ice Capades as a skater after High School at St. Justins in Mt. Washington, PA
He said it was one of the greatest experiences of his life, traveling from city to city and skating with World and Olympic Champions and appearing on the Ed Sullivan and Steve Allen Shows. After a few seasons with the show John returned to school at Phoenix College and Arizona State University. After school John began working in television, in New York, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas and ultimately El Paso, Texas with a few cities in between. It was in Las Vegas that John ended up working for Howard Hughes, from early 1968 '69 and '70, when Hughes flew away to the Bahamas.
After heart problems and open heart surgery John wrote three books while recuperating at his son John's ranch in Kettle Falls, WA. He has three children John, Kevin and Brendan and three grand children John, Jessica and Josie Sheridan.
