It's A Place For Trees by R. L. Anderson, Jr.

It's A Place For Trees is a place for mystery in the second installment in the Will Nickerson Mysteries series. In this country-based whodunit, Will Nickerson, a vacationing North Dakotan, teams up with a spunky and alluring tour guide, Laurel Reitter, to try and find clues to solve a bizarre murder--or was it a suicide???--at an arboretum nestled in Pennsylvania's idyllic Allegheny Mountains. It's A Place For Trees is a suspense-packed mystery, filled with surprises, now and then a shock, a light 'n playful romance, and a taste of the Keystone State's rich history and culture woven in as a backdrop. The language is clean, and the story is fast reading and entertaining from Prologue to Epilogue. And, although this novel follows Ranch Park, it is written in a way that it is a free-standing story, so Ranch Park is not a prerequisite to enjoying It's A Place For Trees.

About the Author

Currently residing in his home state of Ohio, R. L. Anderson, Jr. is also intimately familiar with the Allegheny Mountains region of neighboring northwest Pennsylvania, which was his father's boyhood home. He takes pride in his ancestral heritage in the Swedish community of Kane and Mt. Jewett, PA, and thought it fitting to write a novel set in that area in memory of his father. In addition, R. L. Anderson, Jr. has spent considerable time in the west, including having owned a North Dakota cattle ranch, which inspired his first novel, Ranch Park. He is a self-employed small businessman and sheep shearer, and enjoys hiking, cycling, skiing, travel, photography, languages, and has a third novel nearing completion, with more in the planning stage.
