5 Stars! Release: 08/26/14 Contemporary Romance ABOUT THE BOOK: ONE KISS CAN LAST FOREVER Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart? MY REVIEW: I think this is my favorite Lucky Harbor book yet, and seeing as I've read the whole series, that's saying something. Love the hero, who's broody, has issues regarding trust and love, yet at the same time, doesn't hesitate in going after what he wants. Enter Becca, who's unbelievably sweet, but also has her fair share of past issues...and watch the two clash and explode with lust. It's great watching Becca stand up for herself, even against Sam, someone she wants but doesn't think she can get too close to. The old cast and news ones are also in this one, which makes it a lovely read. Be prepared for the heat to burn through the pages...yes, it's that good.

AudioBook Review: Stars: Overall 4 Narration 4 Story 5 Becca is in need of a reset – and perhaps moving from New Orleans to Washington state will help provide that change. An ad online brought her to a cheap apartment, and better still, it’s far away from her problems. A jingle writer, she’s got a bit of writer’s block, another reason that moving away from home and being removed from family (a large source of issues) is what she hopes will make the difference. But, arriving at a run-down warehouse building with an ‘apartment’ that is far different than advertised, with neighbors who are less then friendly, she’s stuck. No money to move into another place, she needs furniture, a job and some inspiration. Perhaps the view over the ocean will help, or the three super-hot men who appear in her view. Sam is a native and with his two best friends has opened a boat charter business, and he builds boats on the side. He’s a hedgehog – full of protective prickles and ‘stay away from me’ spikes, he’s had an up and down life with his father, and if it weren’t for his best friend’s mother, he’d really never have had a sense of family life. But when he was old enough, he and three friends left to work on oil rigs – unfortunately an explosion took one of them, and the guilt that Sam carries from that is oppressive. Love isn’t a ‘thing’ that happens in the real world, and giving your heart to anyone can only mean never-ending hurt. So he’s not interested. Not one little bit in Becca. Nope. Not at all. Of course their chemistry is electric – and their interactions as the story develops, from snark and a no-strings one night has them both wanting more – it doesn’t help that everyone seems to be pushing them together. This they both will fight tooth and nail – all the time justifying that it’s ‘just a thing’ until it isn’t. A lovely introduction (for me) to the people of Lucky Harbor – and simply everything you’d want in a story where two people, broken and bruised, come together to find hope, love and healing. Narration for this story is provided by Suehyla El Attar and she brought Becca to life with her portrayal. Sam was a bit more difficult to ‘feel’ from her presentation, but the emotion, the second-guessing and even the gradual softening of reserve and determination to stay single from both of them was clearly present and easy to feel. Distinct and clear character voices, a touch of accent and a solid sense of letting the work speak for itself was present, and much of the story felt as if the narrator was enjoying it as much as the listener. I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Hachette Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Jill Shalvis has done a fantastic job in her newest release in the Lucky Harbor series.  This is a story about finding love and discovering what life is really all about.  It is the tale of a journey that leads to a homecoming.  The characters are well developed and beautifully created.  I was drawn in immediately by the sexy surfer dudes and by the stunningly beautiful person that was Becca Thorpe. Becca Thorpe is running away.  She has lived her whole life in her brother's shadow, taking care of him and his musical career.  Extremely talented in her own right, Becca doesn't have the confidence needed to believe in who she is.  Taking an extended vacation to the West Coast, she stops in a town called Lucky Harbor.  Attracted immediately to the quaint town, Becca finds a place to rent and decides to stay on for a while.  When she crosses paths with the SGS (sexy grumpy surfer), Sam Brody her life will never be the same. Sam Brody has always taken care of everyone important in his life.  He had always taken care of others, his dead beat dad, his childhood buddies now his business partners, but not himself.  Sure he eats, sleeps, exercises and takes care of his body’s needs, however, the one thing he's never considered is love.  By some chance of fate, in walks Becca Thorpe into his life and all of his preconceived notions are thrown out the window!  She is beauty personified to him, inside and out. Will Sam be able to recognize the spectacular love that he has with Becca before it's too late?  Can Becca finally believe in herself?  Read this book to find out.  ~TSRBR Hero - Sam Brody 4.5 stars Heroine - Becca Thorpe 4.5 stars Steam Level: 4.0 stars Plot: 4.0 stars Cliffhanger: No Would I recommend this book: Yes!  I just loved reading this book.  Due to the author's development of depth in each character this story arouses many different emotions in the reader. You will not be disappointed when you read this book!      Would I recommend this author: Yes! This author does not disappoint her reading audience with the books that she creates and share with her fans.  ***Received an ARC of this book from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review***

It's in His Kiss #10 in the Lucky Harbor series - Just as amazing as the rest! Moving to Lucky Harbor, Becca Thorpe is working on starting over, starring herself; away from her family and away from the over-stressing life she had!  Sam Brody is a tough, smart, sexy & grumpy surfer who runs a Charter Boat business with his two best friends.  From the first connection Becca and Sam have, there is something there that they each see in the other that they want to "help" the other to overcome. Sam senses that Becca is still living in the past & doesn't freely open up or let anyone in.  Becca knows that there is more to Sam than he lets show, she can see it in his eyes; and as he patiently waits for her answers and waits for her to let him in.  Sam is smart with finances; and is always there for anyone that needs his help.  But who is there for Sam?  The three guys together can truly run the daily work at the charter business in a messy guy kinda way. Opportunity presents itself  to Becca when she hears the guys need a person to run their desk; and Sam reluctantly agrees to hire her, "to help her out because he knows she needs the money".  The humorous and emotional exchanges between Becca and Sam truly pull you in to the story and town again in a way that you won’t forget.   Because to some there are not always happily ever afters .  Not to give anymore away, this book is such a great read! It truly hits on several emotions and opens the doors to Lucky Harbor yet again to us in a way that only Jill Shalvis can do!

This is Lucky Harbor book #10. It is the story of Becca Thorpe and Sam Brody. "ONE KISS CAN LAST FOREVER" Becca has left her life in the city and escaped to the beach. She wants to be away from all the stresses of the city. She enjoys being near the ocean, and Lucky Harbor fits her new idea of living life in the moment. She spots a very hot surfer while on the beach. He is fit & fine with a dark intensity in his eyes. She enjoys being near him, and watching him when she thinks he isn't looking. Sam is a self-made man. He went from being an investment genius to a business owner & boat-builder. Against his better judgement, he ends up giving Becca a job. He knows how things can turn out when you mix business and pleasure. Sam loves hearing her laugh and having her near. Becca finds herself stirring from his touch. She thinks that maybe she could stay awhile. Her brother comes to town pleading for her help. Sam isn't sure if her brother can tempt her back to her glamorous life, or if he and Lucky Harbor can win her heart. I always enjoy books written by Jill Shalvis, and i certainly enjoyed this one. It is witty, sexy, fun and it will make you laugh. Becca really makes me laugh when she is caught "peeping" at Sam and his 2 co-workers. How could any red blooded female not look, especially when they are all drop dead sexy?

This was the first book I read by Jill Shalvis - I am very glad that I stumbled on this author. Her story telling is delightful, a combination of Robyn Carr & Debbie Macomber. Not only is the story a great read, but there is a combination of humor & raciness that is just fun to read.

Becca Thorpe is running away from her life and hiding out in Lucky Harbor. She has been there for her brother for far too long. He needs to grow up and get help. Sam Brody has never had a stable family life. His father was always more concerned about himself than his only son. No wonder he ended up living with Cole's family. Now all Sam has time for is building boats and helping his company with his best friends, Cole and Tanner be the best it can be. Becca's first day in town she stumbles upon Sam. There is an instant connection but he refuses to act on it. Sam feels sorry for her and offers her a job at their company. She refuses to let him know anything about her past and their banter back and forth is great. I love how they just can't seem to stay away from each other. I loved how she would watch her Sexy Grumpy Surfer from her window when she would think he wasn't looking. I loved how these two lost souls found their way to each other. It was a wonderful, heartwarming story.

Jill Shalvis continues to create a town and characters that are realistic and entertaining. I love the Lucky Harbor Series and wish the town existed because I would love to live there. This is the story of Becca Thorpe, who is escaping a tragic past and Sam Brody, a tough "Grumpy, Sexy Surfer" who also happens to be a part owner of Lucky Harbor Charter and a boat builder. This comedic story follows the courtship, employment and adventures of love between Becca and Sam. If you love the series, this book will not disappoint. I highly recommend it and Jill.

I am not entirely sure how this book found me, but I certainly happy it did because this was a great book – took me less than 24 hours to read. I could not put it down! The book is listed as ‘erotica’ but (in my own personal opinion) I would just call it adult romance, really. It is definitely more for the 18+ crowd, but it wasn’t anything too erotic (I have read erotica before and this is almost foreplay to erotica in my opinion.) I love my romance books and I have to say, just as I was about finished with the book, I had the ending pegged, but I still loved every second of this book. I could relate to both of the main characters – Becca and Sam – which made the book that much more better. Both come with a lot of baggage that in the end, are similar to one another’s. From what I can gather, It’s In His Kiss is book #10 in the Lucky Harbor Series but in no way did that affect my ability to read this without having read any others. It has, however, affected my desire to read previous books and the book (or books) to come.
