This book is filled with great tips and advice for anyone who has experienced hair loss or knows someone who has. Christine Wevik uses her own personal experience to explore every aspect of baldness. It’s Only Hair is the no-nonsense, yet humorous, book about hair loss that you won’t want to put it down. Whether you’re dealing with permanent or temporary hairlessness, this book will help you understand how to feel comfortable in your own skin. It explores every aspect of losing one’s hair and helps readers understand how to overcome feelings of anger, sadness, and self-loathing. It will help you empathize with the psychological side of the issue, focus on the positives, and get on with your life. After all, “it’s only hair”!

A very well written book, It's Only Hair is a great read for anyone who has ever dealt with any kind of loss or depression. I have gained so much by reading it. It is informative and compassionate, and at the same time full of humor and hope!

This poignantly funny book is important for anybody to read, not just those who struggle with hair loss. People who have ever struggled with identity can relate to many things in this book. The author is a gifted writer. I hope to see more books from her in the future.

This book is amazing. I love the humor approach. I have a son who was diagnosed at age 5 with Alopecia and although I have watched my son deal with it for 9 years I never understood completely and this book realky helped me understand alopecia. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has been diagnosed along with family members or friends of someone who has it. -Renee Chambers

There aren't enough words or high enough praise for this book. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me count my blessings and stop whining about my troubles. Christine Mager Wevik is an excellent author. She draws you in and keeps you there. Whether you're dealing with hair loss or just need a pick-me-up, It's Only Hair is spectacular! I can't rate it highly enough!

This book has been a gift to me. I have read Pg. 117 to the end at least three times. The week of Thanksgiving a friend noticed a little bald spot on my head. I laghed it off and thought little of it. Fast forward 2 months...I now have 17 spots and am sporting wigs and hats. Reading this book, I felt a connection...FINALLY someone with the same feelings and attitude as mine. I have tried to face this with my head held high, with humor, and with perspective however I have realized I have not allowed myself to grieve. I have felt guilt over my anger so I have tried to shut that off. I struggle with comments from others. This book addressed it all; loved the humor and the perspective shared. It was the voice I so needed to hear!

Hair loss may be common, but it is still a loss and can be traumatic and devastating. This book addresses that loss with sensitivity, compassion, and humor. As a professional counselor, I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who is, or knows of someone who is, struggling with hair loss for whatever reason. The entire premise of this book, that our attitude is a significant aspect in shaping our lives, is accurate, honest, and refreshing. This book is amazing! I had the opportunity to meet Christine while on vacation in Jamaica.  She is truly an inspirational person and you can see that in the words she wrote in this book.  She reminded me to remember what life is really about.  This book is funny and very informational about living with Alopecia and other types of hair loss.  I actually bought 2!   There will always someone we all know who is going through losing their hair or a family member trying to understand what it would be like to lose hair.  It is definitely worth your time to read this book.

Chris Wevik has done the hard work to arrive at a truce with her hair loss and in the process elevates the rest of us through her humor and insight. Chris pis a walking example of Attitude is Everything.  You Rock!  Karen Peterik, owner of New Life Hair, L.L.C.

My 11-year-old granddaughter was recently diagnosed with alopetia. I found this book to be very helpful for my daughter and myself as we learn to cope with this disease. The chapter called 'Little Shavers' has some wonderful tips for approaching hair loss in a positive manner for younger people. In addition the book is loaded with information on all aspects of hairlessness. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is dealing with personal hair loss or who is around others who have this condition. The author approaches this topic with seriousness as well as a sense of humor. I am so grateful for this book!

I have read this book cover to cover many times, I always get a kick out of the jokes in the book. If you don't catch something the first time you always do the second time around. I read this book more for motivation and to try to see things in a more positive light, I recieved my book from a friend of mine who'd known the author, and swears by the book. I will definately be reading more book written by this author in the future.

As a person who doesn't suffer from hair loss I truly enjoyed this book. It was very educational about all sorts of hair loss, but it also includes great personal stories from Chris and others. It was inspiring for me in other accepts of life besides hair loss. The last few chapters are about attitude and how we view our lives and how we can change our own lives. A great read.
