The second son of a widow who works diligently just to keep herself and her young sons alive, John Ljuba dreams of seeing the world and having a life somewhere beyond the tiny coastal island he calls home. About the Author
John Ljuba also known as Ivica in his hometown of Zlarin, Yugoslavia was born June 15, 1936. He immigrated to Germany in 1961, and then to the United States with his wife Lisa Ljuba in 1965. This story was written by him throughout 7 notebooks. John passed away due to Colon Cancer in December 2012 and left his hand written journals to his family, where they were then translated, formatted, and published.
