Ivy's Twisted Vine Redux by Latrivia S Nelson

Ivy's Twisted Vine Redux Synopsis

Read the book that started it all for national bestselling author Latrivia S. Nelson. Ivy's Twisted Vine (2008) is the largest book in the interracial romance genre to date and one of the most controversial. In celebration of Latrivia's own publishing company, she has re-released Ivy's Twisted Vine with revised scenes and more action. Ivy's Twisted Vine Redux is the newest and best version of the genre's favorite saga.

Memphis, TN is buzzing over a sex scandal that could upset one of the city's oldest black political families, and it is all centered around one young woman - Ivy Winters.

Ivy Winters is a quintessential college queen on the rise to becoming the next big thing to hit Memphis. She has been promised a great career at a thriving firm and is engaged to the city's most eligible bachelor. Her five-year plan is working out smoothly until her fiancé dumps her out of the blue. Unbeknownst to his reputation and in utter despair, she falls into the arms of the city's most notorious bad boy and ends up pregnant by either the love of her life or the man of her dreams. Now she has to decide if image is worth more than emotion.

Grey Henderson knows what he wants and gets it. Labeled the most eligible bachelor in Memphis, secured by riches and power, and dubbed the favorite son of the sitting mayor, Grey's only goal is to become the next Congressman of District 17. Marriage to Ivy would complete his image and win the seat, but his secret life of wild sex with countless women haunts him to the point of breaking off their engagement in a dizzying moment of clarity. Only after reality is too much to bear, he discovers that he wants her back in his life and needs her back for his career aspirations.

Lt. Nicola Agosto is Memphis' top cop. Living life on the edge and casually dating the city's most beautiful women are his two favorite past times when he's not serving as the mayor's henchman. Operation Paycheck is his opportunity to prove that his specialized unit is the best. However, all his plans come to a screeching halt when he possibly gets Ivy pregnant and is forced to face the very mayor who appointed him. Facing the Henderson family, however, may not be as hard as facing his own feelings as he discovers that making love to all the women in the world may not be nearly as satisfying as having the love of one.

Who will survive this epic love triangle that exposes the dirty little secrets of even the most celebrated and promising young leaders? Someone will win. Someone will lose and someone will someone will knock on death's door.

Ivy has to be the most frustratingly oblivious heroine i have ever endured. In the beginning i empathized but halfway through i just wanted to smack her and tell her to wake up and get real. In the end i just wanted someone ANYONE to paint her a clear picture no woman can be this dumb. Latrivia should be ashamed

I love this book. This is what creative writing and imagination is all about. I miss. I mean really miss writers can use their imagination to tell a good story. That being said; i don't understand what has happened to this writer with the last book she wrote. "Highness " was just awful. What ever you need to do to find your mojo again and get your groove back; please do so. For all other aspiring authors; use Ms. Nelsons earlier works as you muse. Please.

The absolute best thing about this book was the unpredictability!!!! I don't think I've ever read a "romance" novel where the lead characters are what most people would call abnormal, strange, etc. If all of this authors books follow this trend she has just earned a fan. As I've previously stated.... this book was so awesome in a sort of weird strange way!

I really don't know where to begin... its a case of one night of sex equates to two people destined to be together. This story was just too poorly developed to justify claim or convince me that the two characters experienced this. This author has better stories, skip this one and read the Medlov's instead, that series is far better developed and well written. If you just have to read this one, borrow dont buy.

This was a great read , if you liked this book then you must read the Medlov Crime Family series. Can't wait for the sequel of Ivy's Twisted Vine.

The story was long. The heroine had little to no backbone. She constantly went from one decision to the other. Her fiance lied numerous times and she continually believed him, even when, she knew he was lying. Their continual conflice caused unnecessary drama from all the other characters. It is not a book I'll read again.

I would have given it 5 stars if Ivy hadn't been such an idiot.

The book starts out slow, but it does pick up and gets pretty good. Ivy, the main character, is ridiculous most of the time, but Nicola is yummy! JaKai

The plot is somewhat predictable but a page turner nonetheless. It did seem drawn out sometimes and you wonder why she just doesnt make the obvious right selection however this is a good book

... and Nico finally gets his head on straight. A great cast and a good story. Needs editing. Otherwise, well worth the time to read and enjoy.

I liked this book but I thought it was too long . I would like to have read more about Nick and Ivy. I understood that the story was twisted because of the long process to get to the end of this story.
