Jack and the Bad Stock is the story of Jack who lives with his two mothers and their three cats in Manhattan. After Jack's mothers lose their life savings in a highly publicized Ponzi scheme, they send him to Sotheby's to sell the family cow sculpture. But Jack is too late. They offer him a gamble to get his cow in, but he loses. He is given a magic bean for his troubles. His mothers are livid and one tosses the bean out the apartment window. The next morning Jack wakes to find a gigantic green stalk outside. He climbs to the top and discovers a couple, a wife and her giant husband. Jack soon discovers that the giant may be the same man who masterminded the Ponzi scheme that hurt his family in the first place and is determined to get their money back.
