Illustrator Monique Romicsher fills the pages with stunning pictures that perfectly represent man’s best friend while Kieffer writes about the journey of a very brave dog. And what starts as a fun story about a therapy dog turns into a powerful lesson about cancer that has the potential to help kids everywhere. Although it is always difficult to talk to children about cancer, especially if a close family member or friend is going through it, it is important to start the discussion and help them understand what is going on, and this book is a great resource to help families do just that.
