Jake is starting kindergarten so he needs to go to the doctor for a checkup. He is worried about having to get a shot. Jake, his sister Chloe and his mom head off for his appointment. The book goes through the process of what happens when a child gets a physical starting with the statistics gathered by the nurse and right through the examination and finally immunizations. Jake does not cry and get a lollipop as a reward at the end. This is a great book to read with children who are apprehensive about going to see the doctor. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
