I got this little book after a friend recommend it to me. I have been doing a little home canning for the last 10 years and yet found some interesting information in that book. The recipes, include at the end, are all very basic ones but they are clearly explain and easy to make. For a free book, this one gives a lot to the reader.

The book was good for me because it is a step by step process and helps first timers understand what needs to be done.

Another reputiable book gives the time for tomatoes as 45 minutes not the 85 this book does. Still the rest is pretty good.

Good tips and techniques, but the recipes don't appeal to me. Maybe they will to other readers.

Boring...If you have NEVER canned before read it. If you have canned, get out your canners basic directions and go over.

I canned tomatoes this past weekend using this book processing time called for 85 minutes! I thought that was excessive but i did it anyway. I broke one jar of tomatoes and then found that you dont have to boil them that long

This author has problem with grammar. I stopped reading at one point because of the problems with the grammar. If you are serious about learning to can, I would suggest that you look for another book with better instructions and grammar.
