I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I had reading this. Seriously entertaining and hilarious, I wrote hahahahaaaa in my notes way to many times. Right from the start I was smiling and lost in the story. From Payton’s wit to Leo’s sweetness, from Bettie’s dry humor, and Emma Jo’s perseverance, I loved everything about this. Throw in the towns people and I pretty much laughed my way through this story. I loved sweet Leo and this awesome building relationship he and Payton had that was filled with a bit of animosity and a whole lot of chemistry. I loved Payton and Emma Jo's friendship and how Payton was there in Emma Jo’s time of need. I loved learning everyone's histories and them getting to know each other all over again. There was a seriously outrageous cast of characters, they could be a bit outlandish with all the gossip but it made them all so endearing, I couldn’t help but like them. This was light and fun full of crazy antics and sometimes juvenile humor that was so well done I couldn't help but love it. I loved the storyline, learning about Jed (who totally did have to die!) and was sucked into the who-done-it mystery of it all. It moved at a great pace that made me excited for what was to come next. I loved how the chapters were set up as well. I absolutely 100% love these types of stories. So freaking funny with wild humor and a crazy group of well meaning characters. I couldn't stop smiling and enjoyed every second. This is my third book by Tara Sivec and I am so glad to have found her. This is a must read that brings the laughter!

Great, warm, fuzzy, funny read. Gave only 4 stars because of several issues that missed the editors eye. If you need a giggle....I highly recommend!

I just finished reading Jed Had to Die and I absolutely loved it! This book had me laughing from beginning to end. My favorite parts were the police interviews at the beginning of each chapter. OMG...those gossipy women (and men) made the book! The trail of rumors were hilarious! Who needs a news channel when you have neighbors like Starla? I HIGHLY recommend this book! You can never gone wrong with Tara Sivec. She'll have you laughing your butt off!

3.5 stars! I love Tara Sivec's humor! Jed Had to Die had humor, heat, and characters that truly made me smile. I love a good suspense and something that keeps you thinking and on the edge of your seat and Jed Had to Die did just that. Whenever I am looking for something different and out of the box, I know that Tara will give it to me. Payton is back home to take care of her best friend Emma Jo who was in the hospital. When Emma's husband Jed mysteriously dies, the girls are freaking out wondering who did it. Payton hasn't been back to her hometown in a while so when she runs into hot sheriff Leo Hudson, she doesn't recognize him as the school nerd who was in her class growing up. And boy do sparks fly!!! I completely loved these characters including the secondary characters who cracked me up throughout the book in their interviews. This book is funny and entertaining and for a while there, I was trying to solve the mystery and for me, EVERYONE was a suspect. I felt like everyone was guilty and I love second guessing myself in a book! Tara Sivec has the ability to surprise me with each book she releases and the suspense combined with the humor and romance in this book makes Jed Had to Die another must read by an author who is on my always read list!

5 'BLUEBERRY PIE' STARS!!!!! I think this might be my new favorite Tara Sivec book. Absolutely LOVED everything about this book... from the writing, to the story, to the main characters, the friends, Bettie, and especially all the quirky town people. Oh... and all the wise quotes from the 'coffee mug.' I haven't laughed this much since the Chocolate Lover series. It is freaking hilarious, mysterious, witty, sarcastic as hell, and a bit sexy too. Did i tell you how much I LOVE LOVE this book? It was fantastic. Highly recommend this book!!!! #MUSKAT #LIQUIDCRACK

Tara Sivec is one of my favorite authors that I discover in the last few years. And it seems that with each book she writes, she keeps herself near the top of that list. Jed Had to Die is no exception. I already consider Sivec to be a master of her own brand of comedy. What she is also good at is throwing light mystery in the mix. She did it in her Fool Me Once series, and does it again in this book. But I think I may have enjoyed this one even more. I loved the gossipy small town setting of Bald Knob, the characters who couldn’t stop making me laugh if they wanted to, and I couldn’t resist the strong presence of coffee throughout. On top of all this is the mystery of who killed Jed. While the focus may switch between this and the romance, there’s just the right amount of suspense until the reader sees the case to the end. There’s a great mix of genres in this story and I couldn’t get enough. I hope Sivec continues to write in this genre, because I’ll be jumping at the chance to read everything she writes in it in the future.

I really didn’t know what to expect when going into this book. Tara Sivec blew my mind with this one. It had just the right dose of humor, romance and mystery to make a great read. The serious message she tried to convey came through perfectly and wasn’t lost in the humor. I have to say this book tops my favorite list of hers now. Holy Hotness Nerd Alert! Leo, nerd turned superhero. That is the kind of hero I’m talking about. I love romances where the Hero wasn’t always the hot male that he is now. It shows growth and it’s real. Not all of us make it through puberty unscathed. Leo grew into his skin and watch out ladies, he is going to top the book boyfriend lists. I loved where this book started and how it progressed. Not knowing which direction the author was going in, I liked where the plot went and the storyline. There are lots of laugh out loud moments. Plenty of swoonworthy parts and an ending that will make your heart melt. Definitely a must read!
