Sorry to see this series end! I started out liking this series, just not quite sure about it. After the second book I was enjoying it and now that I finished the final, I will say that the series was really good. It's not that I didn't like the story but the first book had a lot of flashbacks and I wanted to read more about what was happening 'now'. I understand that you need to know about the past sometimes so you understand what is going on and why, so it was okay. This third book was very good and I wanted another book in the series, I was sad to see it end. When I got to looking at "The Amish Heiress" in the Paradise Chronicles series, I see that I get go on with characters in this series, thank you Patrick for letting me read on.

I really loved the conclusion to this series.  This made me laugh and cry.  It was hard to put down.  This ties up any lose ends.  I would love to see some of the other characters get their own stories.  I received this from the author for a fair and honest opinion.

I read all three books, I couldn't put them down. The last one "Jenny's Choice was my favorite. I couldn't put it down. I read it in two nights, lucky for me I had tissues right next to my bed. What a terrific writer. I couldn't put it down, but couldn't stop crying either. For a male writer he did an excellent job in bringing Jenny and mother Jerusha to life. Two strong women who faced so many obstacles. Loved Reuben 's character, strong but also kind.. Would have loved to read about Rachel, Jenny's daughter, Just a thought. Keep writing will keep reading. Elba

Absorbing!  Within the first few minutes of reading Jenny's Choice I was completely absorbed in her story, wondering how it would all work out for her.  This was my first Amish fiction novel, and the author does a great job of weaving a compelling and heartfelt story.  I highly recommend it!

Jenny Hershberger is a young woman who has to face a horrible life when she is left alone to raise her daughter. She has to try to make it by going back to her parents and leaving her farm. She had to leave her home and go back to her parents. She finally gets some feeling of herself back through her writing, but again she has to choose what is better for her family first. I felt sad for Jenny and the decisions she had to make for her daughter and also herself. I give this book a 4/5. I was given a copy by First Wild Card Tours for the purpose of a review and all opinions are my own.

Jenny’s Choice book 3 in The Apple Creek Dreams Series. Very well written by Patrick Craig. Very emotional go through all sorts of feelings tears of joy and tears of sadness plus some anger. When a author can move me with emotion it is a five star book. Jenny has a lot of changes in her life beginning with the death of her husband. Leaving her to make decisions for her and her young daughter. Jenny loves to write which is against the Amish ways. What should she do? She is torn. You want to read a great book one that you won’t want to put down this is it. I love the spiritual in this book. Good clean book. Looking forward to seeing what Patrick has next.

Jenny’s Choice By Patrick E. Craig There aren’t too many books that I absolutely can’t put down to do other needed things, but this was one. I loved Jenny’s Choice and can tell you that this book is so enthralling that you won’t want to reach the end. You want to keep reading. Patrick’s book has totally touched my heart and caused some tears to come to my eyes as I went through this touching book. The characters were well described and each of the main characters were strong examples of good Christians wanting to do what was right in their faith. Jenny and Jonathan Herschberger and their daughter Rachel are a happy Amish family in Paradise, Pennsylvania. Jonathan takes a trip to see his parents and the tragic outcome causes Jenny and Rachel to continue life without Jonathan in their lives. To bring solace to her life and with the encouragement of her parents, Jenny begins to express her feelings through her gift of writing. She writes of her Amish life and her trials and joys. Her writing talents are discovered by a handsome and caring publisher who finds himself falling in love with her. Challenges come to her as opposition from the Lancaster bishop makes her writing seem worldly and wrong. The bishop and her father do not agree on things which causes more unsettling problems in Jenny’s life. Reuben, Jenny’s father, is a man of strong character who I felt was a wonderful support to Jenny throughout the trials she faces. Jenny wonders if she should make a life with publisher Jeremy King but is not sure what God’s plan for her life is. Even after many prayers, it seems the answer is not easily forthcoming. Jenny experiences more loss and grieving and returns to her old home to begin anew. It is here that decisions in her life need to be made. Will she marry Jeremy and leave the Amish church or stay alone and remain a faithful Amish woman who raises her daughter in the faith. The decisions and results of her move home are a definite sign that God has watched over her and had plans for her. Her life as a writer continues to bring her fame which is not the style of the Amish. Will this pull her away from her Amish community? Or bring her closer to the path God wants her to follow. A heartwarming conclusion leaves you wishing the book would never end. I give this a definite 5 stars! A wonderful read!

An End To A Great Series! I was only a few paragraphs into this book when I found myself crying. If you have read the first two books in this series you will know why. This series is unlike any Amish fiction books I have ever read and I was thoroughly immersed into the story line. To me a good author knows how to make their readers feel as if they are part of the story too. I was living Jenny’s story right along with her. The continuing story of Jenny Hershberger will grip you with emotion until the very last page. The author did a splendid job of capturing the joy of living and the heartbreak of living. This book is filled with God’s passionate love for us. God’s leading is portrayed throughout this book. We only have to be still and listen to His voice. This is Christian fiction at its finest. I did not want this series to end and I am hoping that a new series will be in the works. Rachel’s story needs to be told. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I strongly urge you to read “A Quilt for Jenna” and “The Road Home” before reading “Jenny’s Choice.” I wish to thank Harvest House Publishers and author Patrick E. Craig for providing me with a copy of Jenny’s Choice to read and review. The opinions are mine alone.

Impressive! "Jenny's Choice" is the third and final installment of the Apple Creek Dreams Series, and the story has come full circle. It is the summation of Jenny's journey through life, and the events that have molded her into the woman she has become. Jenny possesses a penchant for writing, and after great tragedy threatens her entire existence she eventually begins journaling. Restoration begins as the floodgates of her soul open and she places her stories and thoughts on paper.  The magnitude of her grief is reflected through much of her writing, and the story behind her mother's Rose of Sharon quilt and everything it represented gives credence to the depth of her mother's faith. She continues with her father's story, his strength of character and the devotion he possessed through time in the military and his renascence into the Amish community. His faith and his love for his family were unprecedented, quietly reflected by a glimmer in his eyes. The magnitude of Jenny's love for Jonathan is poignant, and their daughter, Rachel, is the symbol of their love. "Jenny's Choice" is absorbing, a story told with such strength and depth of feeling that I walked hand in hand with Jenny throughout the events in her life story. Patrick E. Craig is masterful at creating a work of fictional art that evokes the most sensitive emotions, revealing endearing characters with intensity and perception. His voice throughout this series reveals a deep spiritual relationship with God, and a faith that flows into his characters. Patrick is a proficient author who brings the written word to life and reveals the innermost feelings and sensitivity through his characters. The life stories of Jenny's family and their relationships and devotion to one another developed into masterpieces of character.
