There is nothing Jessica wants more than to be like everyone else, but between her Down syndrome and her colorful family, "average" isn't part of her vocabulary. This year when she blows out eleven candles on her homemade vegan cake she makes the same wish she's made for as many birthdays as she can remember: she wants a mother.
Jessica's father Phil has worked his entire life to create a more stable childhood for his daughter than he had. But a supportive mother, a recently returned father, rainbow pancakes, and princesses can't heal the dark void left in Phil's heart which he won't even admit is there.
When Mallory's mother's life unexpectedly turns upside down, Mallory realizes her dreams come second to her heart, and she leaves her dream job in a big city to return home set on helping her fiercely independent mother recover. After forming a unique bond with Jessica-and a friendship with Jessica's hot father-Mallory finds that in coming back to Stonehill she might just have found a way to make all of her dreams come true.
But as their families start pushing Phil and Mallory together, old insecurities and Phil's worst fears threaten to break up the happy trio and catch Jessica in the emotional crossfire.

Just Incredible.....Jessica's Wish is the fourth book in the Stonehill Romance series by Marci Boudreaux. It is the continuation of Phil and his daughter Jessica's story. Phil, who we first met in "The Road Leads Back" is living on his own with Jessica his eleven year old daughter who has Down's Syndrome. Jessica's mother, unable to deal with Jessica's disability, left Phil when Jessica was just a baby. Every year on her birthday Jessica wishes for a mother. This year, Phil meets Mallory, who we got to know in "The Forgotten Path". Mallory is the daughter of Phil's mother's friend Annie. Mallory and Phil become good friends who do everything together. Mallory not only forms a special bond with Jessica but In time She begins to develop feelings for Phil. However, when Phil hears Jessica talking about Mallory becoming her mother, his fear of her getting hurt again makes him pull away and hurt Mallory. Will Phil overcome his fears and let Mallory into their lives or will he allow his insecurities drive her away? I have read all the books in this amazing series. I truly believe that Marci Boudreaux gets better with each book she writes! I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing the experiences that each and every character has had. I have laughed and cried right along with them and I am definitely not ready let them go. I can only hope that this series will continue. Not only do I recommend this book, but I recommend the entire series to anybody who enjoys romance novels that definitely restore the belief that true love really does exist. I received this book from Juniper Grove Book Solutions in exchange for an honest review.
I would have to say I have read all the books in the Stonehill Series and have enjoyed each and every one of them. No only can you pick up each and every one of the books individually at any place in the series and get a complete book, the more you read of the Stonehill Series the more you want to find out about the other characters and where their lives lead! This particular book ties in two of the families from the series. It involves Phil who is son to Kara & Harry from "The Road Leads Back" and Mallory who is daughter to Annie from "The Forgotten Path". Phil also has a daughter Jessica who has downs syndrome. Jessica is incredibly well adjusted, but it has always been Jessica's wish for her to have a real mother. A fill in grandmother is great, but she just wanted something more! When Mallory moves back to be closer to home after her mothers tragic accident she runs into Phil and Jessica. Jessica has been a huge help with Annie's rehabilitation process. Mallory instantly forms a bond with Jessica and then finds her self wanting more from Phil. Phil isn't sure that he can give more as his focus has always been Jessica and neither want to place Jessica in the middle. Great book and loved how the characters found their way!
