Besides the fact that this book has great detail on the life of Jim Morrison, it also gives a slight insight to the sixties.I enjoyed the knowledge I endured from reading about the history of West Hollywood. This book has extra bonus' for the younger Morrison fan. BUY IT DAMN IT!

Since i was young, Jim Morrison has always been my idol and favorite poet. I have read many biographies on him and this one is by far the best. It gives so much detail about not only his life as a rock star, but his life as a poet. Very detailed, its makes you finally understand the life of the greatest rock star and poet of all time. If u like the doors and jim morrison this biography gives you everything you need to know

I dont like to read much, but I really enjoyed reading this book. This book lets you understand the great/tragic tale of one of Rock and Rolls greatest lead singers, Jim Morrison.

Im not a reviewer, but I do read a lot. After reading this book I had to at least rate it, if not give an ameature review. The truth of my opinion is one can not give a 'review' of any true worth. Everyone is different...or so we think. Anyways I found this book filled with more information than even a devoted fan can use. This is what I appreciated most about it. I found it very surreal; there is so much inforamation and it is so well written that one (at least myself) feels like a bystander to all this. In my opinion this is how biographical books should be written.

i found this book to be nothing but a rip-off of every other book on jim morrison written over the last decade. it contained not one new revelation, and was very unflattering to both morrison and longtime girlfriend pamela courson.

For me this was a fascinating read. I have read afew books written by people who knew him, 'No One Here Gets Out Alive' by Danny Sugarman, Ray Manzeraks Book, and John Densmores Book. They all offer interesting perspectives on Jims life. This book had more interesting stories and information though. One complaint I have about the book is that some things described seem to be just hearsay. But the Author did dig up some great stories and previously unpublished information about jim which I thought made the book worth it. I would also like to say I cant understand anything 'demian no more no less' is saying in his 'review'.

Any one who studyed jim would not see his sexuality as some GRATE revolation. I geuss people have to sell books some how, SO lets use SEX azz usual. YES Jim was doing time in the UNIVRESAL MIND, As we ALL some time DO. AND after well over 30 plus years, 'The PRESS IS STILL DECENDING ON HIM LIKE, VULTERS AT A FEEDING FEST'. At least this book is trying to give us another side order of truth, in which Dylan, Hendrix, lennon, Santana, Janis jim was and are all about.
