Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page is the photographic autobiography and visual history of the world’s most iconic guitar player. With incredible attention to detail, Page has chosen hundreds of photographs representing significant moments in his career: from a schoolboy with a rock-a-billy quiff through his extensive work as a session musician; including The Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, ARMS, The Firm, Outrider, Coverdale & Page and Page & Plant; playing with Roy Harper and The Black Crowes; collaborating with P. Diddy and performing with Leona Lewis at the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Both Genesis Publications and Jimmy Page have sifted through thousands of images representing the work of more than 70 photographers including some of the greatest names in rock photography – Ross Halfin, Kate Simon, and Gered Mankowitz, to name but a few. Included are a mixture of iconic portraits, rare and unseen photographs from Jimmy’s archive along with visas, photos and stamps from his own passports.

Page has officially put pen to paper about his career taking the form of extended captions, which describe and document pivotal moments and events making this book an historical document and a definitive visual record of a remarkable life of music.

Got the book for my 15 yr old son. Proud to say he has great taste in music, my fault :) Great pictures, just beautiful ! Just wish I would have known he was in New York signing his books November 4th, my son was so bumbed out when he found out that same day. Just a wonderful jaunt through Jimmy's fabled career. Love it, its locked in my son's hands off safe with the Zeppelin collection I handed down to him.

Generally I don't pay this much money for a book, but this was one that I simply had to have. And I must say, I certainly wasn't disappointed. The pictures are lovely, every single one of them, and beautifully relate the entire musical journey of the greatest guitarist who has ever lived. I have to admit that I have always been fascinated with Jimmy Page Despite the fact that 45 years separate us and I wasn't even thought of during the days of Led Zeppelin, I have always felt some odd cosmic connection with him which is hard to explain to someone who doesn't know much about astrology (he was born January 9 and I July 9, making us exact polar opposites). Remarkably, we both have the same color eyes, which I suppose is irrelevant. In any case, he has always been the best guitarist to me. No one can touch him as far as playing is concerned. He is the true master. I don't care much for the music that came after Led Zeppelin, which has gotten progressively worse in recent years, I'm sad to say. I will listen to these albums over and over again and dream of the golden days of rock and roll, times which I very much wish I could be a part of. I encourage everyone who cares about music to buy this book. I am sure you will love it as much as I do. (Actually, I encourage anyone to buy this book). I'm not some young, lovestruck fan, by the way. I am an intelligent and educated young woman, and I know the best when I see - or hear - it.

I toyed with buying this book every time I was in Barnes and Noble before Christmas. I finally bought it when It was on sale at the store and am so glad I did. I saw Jimmy Page when he was in the Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin so it brought back a lot of memories. I actually met him but what does any of this have to do with my review? Nothing, it's just fun to remember the good old days when it was so easy to meet your rock 'n roll heroes!!! Anyway, the book is large, the photos are wonderful and Jimmy Page looks as sexy now as he did back then.

I bought this as a gift for my adult son who is a Led Zepplin fan. He loves it and tells me it is his favorite book of all time. It's a pictorial journey through Jimmy Page's career. It is a large book, of coffee table genre, and packed with beautiful pictures of a remarkably talented man. Don't miss this one!

I still want this order.  There was NO PLACE to check "I still want this order".  I would really appreciate you filling this order as soon as possible.  It's a birthday gift and now he won't have anything on his birthday.  Sucks!

I ordered this book on December 1st (cyber Monday). They said it was in stock.  I bought it as an xmas present for my bf.  Here it is, January 7th and STILL NO BOOK!!  I have been given the run around for a month regarding this book. Barnes $ Noble is a bogus company with crappy customer service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS BS COMPANY AGAIN.
