My sisters have often asked me why I swear by JJ Virgin and her books and the truth is that what she has to say really works. Until I started reading JJ’s books, the only book that I ever agreed with on weight loss and healthy eating is The Hungry Chick Dieting Solution. The Hungry Chick Dieting Solution has been the only book so far to help me to really lose weight and keep it off.  I still keep it on my night stand. While JJ Virgin and her new book, JJ Virgin sheds light on the hidden dangers of sugar in everything that we eat and how it could be impacting my recent weight loss. This book has finally opens my eyes to how much sugar my family and I are truly eating every day, hidden in the most interesting places in our food. She takes no prisoners and delivers a hard hitting, clear message on how to eliminate this addictive, but dangerous habit. This book too is definitely a must read!

This book is packed with useful information and tools to help everyone succeed and eliminating sugar without crashing or giving up like most diets. When I received this book I was just going to read a few pages and once I began reading it I couldn't put it down, it was so interesting. There are great recipes that I have already tried and they are not only delicious but the best news is that I stay full for hours and do not crave sugar or food for that matter when I eat per the plan. I didn't realize how much sugar was impacting my life in a negative way because I didn't think that I ate it everyday but sugar is in just about everything! Only after a few days I already feel better overall and have more energy, plus my mood is not all over the place, with the highs and lows of sugar. I highly recommend this book and JJ Virgin's other books as well.

During a visit with my mom recently I introduced her to The Virgin Diet. We then started talking about sugar and how bad this product is for you and also the popular alternatives for sugar. Have you ever imagined why you then start to want more and more of that specific sweetened food after you have finished with that meal or that food? It has a lot to do with the sugar or sweetener that is included in the ingredients. Our population is consuming so much more sugar in this day and age that we do not realize it. JJ Virgin helps you realize this and how to get a handle on it with her Sugar Impact Diet. It is well worth the read and to follow the program.

Wow! JJ has done it again with another fabulous book. You will learn more about sugar from this book than you ever  thought. It's no wonder we are an overweight nation. Sugar us EVERYWHERE! We think we are eating healthy,  but guess again. Read this book and you will be clear about where sugar is being hidden and making you and your  family sick and probably tired. I have much more energy now that I've kicked this dreadful sugar habit. I recommend  her other books as well. Cookbook is great, have enjoyed everything I've made.

If you want to improve your health or simply learn where sugar is lurking this is your book!  A step-by-step approach to remove sugar out of your diet. JJ writes with candor and is a wealth of information. She writes so even the layperson can understand. Jam packed with lots of great ideas and resources to take your health to the next level - sugar free. Highly recommended. Other books by JJ Virgin are amazing - The Virgin Diet and The Virgin Diet Cookbook. Both which I own and just as powerful. A great collection!!!  Yay JJ. :-)  To good health and thank you for being the spokesperson. The word needs to get out there and you are a great catalyst.

This book has lots of information. JJ talks about hidden sugars - excellent info. She tells about the impact of certain foods, and what to do to keep glucose low. There are forms offered for the diet, and lists showing levels of foods for best or worst impact on the body. Recipes are good also. I'm losing following this plan.

I bought this audio book from the store. The CD's work fine, however there is supposed to be a PDF file with the book. there was none. I am a longtime Barnes & Noble shopper but I will never buy another audio book from them again. when I contact the Author I was told there was nothing they could do for me.

This is an awesome book! A life changing plan for anyone who struggles with sugar addiction. I used to joke that I was a sugar junkie & now I know that was true. This book is an easy read, with clear instructions to beat the addiction. I have been looking for something that would help me get this problem under control for years. I am happy to say I think this is the one & I now have the tools to change. Thanks JJ Virgin!

I guess I was expecting more from the book but it was okay. One thing I didn't like was her website said if you purchased the book you would get a free informative sugar free book by attaching receipt of purchasing the book. Well,that didn't work. Felt that was a bit of a scam. This book did not really offer information I was really looking for.

Earlier this year I learned about "The Virgin Diet", purchased the book and began my journey to better health. What a difference in my life and health so far. JJ's new "Sugar Impact" is the logical next step to follow in that journey. JJ covers the many reasons we are unknowingly consuming so much sugar, and how it reacts in our bodies to cause us to gain weight and experience illnesses - even as we are trying to eat "healthy" foods. JJ backs up her information with lots of research and very clear explanations. I am amazed at the large number of very sneaky places that sugar is hiding in our foods - and JJ presents us with wonderful tools to find them, to gradually taper off the highest sugar impact foods and focus on the lower sugar impact foods. All this to assist us in ridding ourselves of sugar cravings under control so that we are in control of what we eat. I am amazed at the amount of information and guidance that she has made available in this book. I am definitely looking forward to implementing JJ's plan to move me toward yet better health, cure my lifelong sugar cravings, and even lose some additional weight in the process.
