Poonthanam(1547-1640AD) was a famous devotee of Guruvayurappan, who lived in Keezhattoor in (Malappuram district), Kerala, India. He is remembered for his masterpiece, Jnanappana which means 'the song of divine wisdom' in Malayalam.
