Hate the game, not the player...
Only the good die young, but did it really have to be my brother--the only person in my family who understood me? Growing up in a house that's built entirely on Super Bowl wins, I refuse to love the game and the men who play it. Football has a way of destroying lives. And here I am frustrated, angry, and empty--sick of everything that has any connection to the sport.
But then Brice comes along...
He's everything I want, and everything I hate. Now that he's a part of my world, I can't give him my heart. It's too shattered and fragile for someone like him. But I keep wondering, can he mend the broken pieces, or will he toss it away like just another one of his touchdown passes?

Joe Football by Autumn Sand 5 Stars Favor is from a famous football family. Her father is many young football players Hero. Her brother was a starting quarterback being molded to follow in his father's footsteps. Favor has always felt like an outsider in her own family and when her brother was killed in a horrible car accident it shattered her because he was the only one that understood her. Attending college under her mother's maiden name so that she wouldn't be recognized for who she was she stayed away from anything football. Football ruins lives. She didn't date football players and stayed away from the field. She had amazing friends but is just so sick of anything to do with football and still feels so empty without her brother. Then along comes Brice. Brice is the starting quarterback for the Cougars, the college’s football team. He has always watched Favor from afar, he tried to ask her out once but she turned him down flat with “I don't date football players” so he could only dream of her, but when his chance comes at a bonfire for the team he does all he can to win her over. Favor can't stop thinking about him, but she can't give in can she? He is everything she has ever wanted, but stands for everything she hates. As Brice works his way into her life there are many obstacles that keep getting thrown at them. Secrets are kept and when they surface they could be a deal breaker. Can these two find a way over everything thrown at them and find trust and love? This story is amazing and deals with so many things from family issues to how to forgive and trust. I loved the friendships and the twists and turns in this story. I have found myself reading a lot of this author's work and I am never disappointed. Each of her stories really make you think and I just love all of her characters. Another great story, and another favorite!
Joe Football by Autumn Sand Rated 5 stars Wow! Just Wow! I just finished this book and I am having feelings.....This author is a story creator! I laughed, chuckled, had some shock and awe, and yup even teared up while reading this book. So I can honestly say I LOVED this book. It caught my attention right away( seriously just look at the cover ha ha) and was so easy to read that I moved right along. Before I knew it I was half way through. The characters and the multiple stories were all told so wonderfully. How could you not like this book? Favor is such a strong girl! She might not realize it and feel weak on many topics. But WoW is she impressive. I wish I could list all the ways she is strong but I don't want to give spoilers. Just trust me! Brice is equally strong and a good match for Favor. He seems to stand up for her and her friends at various times. He is there for her when she is struggling and he apologizes when he is wrong! HELLO can anyone say perfect boyfriend!?! All the secondary characters are amazing! Favors friends Cal and Jana know all her secrets and still love her. Granted they each have their own issues but they are great comedic relief for Favor. Brice's best friend and roomie Egon has his back for all things. Besties since they were kids Egon and Brice have talked about and are following their dreams together. Even while Brice was trying to get his Golden Unicorn (Favor)...Egon is there for him. I have to mention Wayne as a good character. In him I see the other side of the coin. I know, I know cryptic but I could not write this in good conscience without mentioning something about him. I am applauding him right now for being him! Man I could keep writing about this book because I loved so much about it! But I will stop so you can pick it up and read it yourself! Oh and I wouldn't be opposed to a story of Egon getting his shot at love. Hint hint :-)
