About the Author

The Author: Klaus Stierstorfer was born in 1961 in Weiden/Germany. He studied English Literature and Catholic Theology at the University of Regensburg, before moving on to Oxford University where he got his D.Phil. in 1993 in English Literature. After training as a teacher and taking the «2. Staatsexamen» in Bavaria in 1994, he presently holds a research scholarship and is once again based at Oxford. In 1995 he was elected Junior Research Fellow at St. Cross College.
