After I read this book I felt disgusted, intrigued, happy, sad, and a little sick. This book is one of the best graphic novels I've ever read. It is so sick that makes me laugh out loud. The creepy thing is the author makes you sympathize with the main character who is of course a HOMIDAL MANIAC. At parts I questioned my own sanity for sympthizing with a lunatic madman. Any book that does that has to be amaizing. Any person with a sense of humor should read this.

Johnny is like someone we all have inside of ourselves, come to life in the form of a cartoon. He is a maniac, but when he calms down enough, he is most definitely smarter than many MANY people who are considered 'sane'. A great read if you like a bit of violence and some dark humor.

Nny's tale is intriguing, emotioinal, and hilarious! He's a great guy, even though he's insane. The Director's Cut was amazing and I had to go back and read any and every word from cover to cover. It was brillant and I am addicted. I call the Director's Cut the love of my life.

JtHM is probably one of the best and original comics I have ever read. Jhonen truly is a genius and I probably won't be able to hold back my rabid fangirling. When I first got this book, I could NOT put it down. Even though Johnny sometimes... or most of the time... kills people who I don't believe deserve it (even if they are annoying and rude), there is a very satisfying part where he brutally kills a child molestor. :D I loved the Happy Noodleboy bits too! They are so amazingly random and had me laughing so hard! Basically, if you haven't bought JtHM yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Go get it now!!

Amazing book! I enjoyed this more than I may have enjoyed any other book, as I found it just an amazing show of originality. Well done, Jhonen! For all you people reading this, I would definantly recommend this graphic novel to you. Of course, though, be warned that this is NOT a book you should give to younger children, because of harsh language and violence (hence the name). But, it is surely something you should check out, and anyone who has good taste in comic books could tell you that this is a must have for people who love something "different" from todays novels! If anyone reading this is familiar with the show Invader Zim, and you enjoyed it, then you should also check it out, because this is from the creator of that show! Although, if you are worried about those points I made earlier, then the less harsh Squee may be for you. Anyways, out of five stars, I think this is an easy eight and a half!

Johnny is extremely violent and yet... There's something about him one can't quite resist. He seems to be as kind as possible to his victims and his veiw on torture is very interesting. As if the pain someone goes though just proves that they're alive. I enjoyed this book and read it well over ten times and still haven't gotten tired of it.

This book's remarkable artwork and intriguing storyline kept me reading it longer than humanly possible. It should definitely be required reading for grade-school students.

A dark, twisted book that makes you laugh the entire way through. These books raised the bar for all comics. Johnny may be a murderer but you can't help but love him. Johnny's 'morals' make you look at the world in a different way. But, please, don't follow his morals, that would not be good. After reading this book, I began to see everything in Jhonen vision. This book was the begining of horrible, horrible obsessiveness with Jhonen-y stuff. Well, I suppose, he was the one that it would be horrible for. He just gained himslef another insane, lover of everything Jhonen fan. Oh, well.

johnny C.(or Nny to his "friends") kills people and uses their blood to coat a wall of his house.besides his nail bunny and doughboys he dosent have friends(he will sometimes talk to his victums before he kills them)except for his 10 year old neighboor "squee"(thats what johnny calls him.)aside from his suicide attempts and his sudden need to have a freezy he hates the world but is trying to find why he is here in the world.

Violent, charismatic Johnny slashes his way gleefully through the pages of this blood-stained work. Torture and God aren't taboo subjects here, and it only slows down when Johnny gets slightly too preachy. Besides that, memorable characters that will never leave your nightmares.. read it again and again..

Satire, Dark Comedy, and all tongue firmly in cheek look at society and our media output. This is a wonderful graphic novel, proving that most people can't pass an accident without stopping or at least slowing to catch a glimpse of the bodies.

This is disturbingly philosophical and incredibly engaging. If you're remotely a fan of comics or of dark humor, pick it up and enjoy.

C'mon - it's dark and twisted, it's totally sick. And it's laugh-out-loud funny if you can appreciate that. XD

Hysterical, dark, and unexpectedly witty all at the same time. "Look David Hasselhoff can fly!"

Okay. I haven't actually read this yet (It's supposed to come in tomorrow-fingers crossed!) but I read some clips off-line. All I can say is WOW. It's creepy, hilarious, and moved me to tears in some of the later parts. That's all. Anyone who's ever been an outcast should definitly read this.
