About the Author

K.C. Stewart is the self published author of the Hailey Holloway series and most recently, the Adirondack Pack series. All her life she had fantasized and day-dreamed on a regular basis but it wasn’t until she began writing short stories that she made those fantasies a reality. She has graduated to novels but still dabbles in the occasional flash fiction and short story. Because of her love for reading and the written word, K.C. is currently continuing her education at Clarion University for Library Science. When she isn’t taking photographs, studying or writing, she is supporting a very real gummy bear habit. Currently, she lives with her boyfriend, german shepherds and cats in central Pennsylvania.

Jolt is the 2nd book in the Rusted and Reckless series and this is the story of Jade and Jason. Jade and her cousin Shaina went to the Rusted and Reckless concert and Shaina said that she could get them backstage, when they went back Rory the guitarist met them at the door and invited them in but Jade was only interested in Jason. Jade and Jason were talking when Shaina pushed in between them and gave Jason a drink then she dragged him off Jade was so upset she left. A few years later Jason was reading his fan mail his favourite fan was Cara a little girl who sent him drawings, little does Jason know that Cara is his daughter from the night he spent with Shaina. When Jason finds out he takes off to go and see her and one look and he knows that she is his daughter. Fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read and it’s definitely worth more than 5 ⭐️ and I can’t wait until the next book comes out Endure.

This fantastic book 2 in the Rusted and Reckless series features Jade and drummer, Jason. I have enjoyed each book I have read in this series. I love it when a man tries his hardest at something he’s bound and determined to accomplish AND be good at it. Jason is more than I expected. Jade was the catalyst to brought everyone together. I love that she’s a strong, self-sufficient woman who knows EXACTLY what she wants in bed. Their beginning was nothing to write home about but years later, after meeting again, their chemistry is smokin’ hot. Great writing with fabulous characters that mature more with each story. I can’t wait for the next one.

Jade and her cousin, Shaina, were at a concert in belated celebration of their 21st birthdays. Shaina claimed she could get them backstage to meet the Rusted and Reckless band members, but Jade was less than thrilled at her visit to the bathroom with the guard who had allowed them back there. Shaina had already picked out a band member she intended to “have a go at”; but unless Jason Keefer was available, Jade wouldn’t even be tempted. He was the one she had a big crush on! They arrived at the door and Rory, the guitarist, invited them in. When he went to get their drinks, Shaina said insulting things to Jade for trying to refuse the offered beer. In addition to her promiscuous behavior, Shaina had become very nasty while Jade was away at college. Rory returned and introduced them to the other band members. Jason came right over to her. When Jason elegantly kissed her hand, he wrinkled his nose and kept sniffing – and Jade suddenly remembered having her hands in the fixer solution when she developed her photos! That nasty smell was hard to get rid of! She was so embarrassed, and as he asked if she was a photographer, she answered yes, well no, well kind of – and Jason roared with laughter. He thought she was adorable, and he kept asking questions, genuinely interested in her college dual majors and what she was studying. Then Shaina squeezed right between them, handing Jason a drink. It tasted odd – she claimed she just added lime – but he drank it, then swayed on his feet and let her drag him off. Hurt, Jade left and no one noticed. Six years later, Jason was reading his fan mail. His favorite was from a little girl named Cara who regularly sent him drawings she made for him. Little did he know how important she was going to be in his life! This story line was wonderful and drew the reader right in. With the exception of Shaina, the other characters were very likable. The dialog throughout flowed smoothly and naturally, so it added to the realistic feel of the story. I hadn’t expected to enjoy this one as much as I did, but the book was so well written that I didn’t want to stop reading to find out how everything turned out! It’s a good read and I definitely recommend it!

This is the second installment of the Rusted and Reckless series by Charlotte Casey and it is a good follow up story. You don't have to read the first one to enjoy this but I think it enhances the story. One night after a concert, Jason the drummer for the band meets Jade and her cousin Shaina. He and Jade are hitting it off until her cousin comes over and gives Jason a drink then the two of them walk off together. Jade leaves and doesn't look back. Fast forward 5yrs, Jason has been receiving drawings from a little girl for a little while when a note is included in the latest one stating he the father of the little girl (Cara) and she needs his help. He immediately drops everything and heads to the town where the little girl is to find out for sure if she really is his. As soon as he sees her, he knows she is his. This is where it gets good. We have a new dad trying to do what's best for his daughter who has a worthless, drug addict for a mother, an aunt who has been doing what she can for the Cara without upsetting Shaina (the worthless mother) because then she will not allow Jade to see Cara. Without Jade, Cara would be more neglected than she already is. We also find out more about that night 5yrs ago when Shaina got pregnant. This is a good follow up to the first book in this series and i do recommend it. I volunteered to read this copy for my honest opinion.
