I highly recommend this excellent 1st story in the Bride Brigade series. I've ready many good "mail order bride" stories, but this author presents a slightly different solution to the same problem: too many single men Out West & never enough single women. A group of women travel together to Tarnation, Texas to seek husbands. They get to meet the eligible men through social gatherings. But are free to take their time to develop relationship & even "love" before accepting a marriage proposal. This 1st story entertains with romance, danger & characters in a small town in Texas after the Civil War.
