This author holds you hostage to every word. She leaves subtle clues along the way, leading the reader to first this conclusion and then that. I worried how she could bring about a successful ending; and when I got there I wanted to cry out 'Yes!' Her characters are fully-formed, believable participants in the exciting events. You live and breathe with each one. You feel their anxiety and their elation. Jack Kalman stars as the FBI agent investigating the sudden disappearance of a 727 plane with 301 on board. Nancy Spenser, the top crash investigator for the NTSB, leads Jack kicking and growling onto the track that solves the mystery. The rich lawyer and the stripper play their parts to perfection. The background of each suspect give you plenty of detail to mull over. This is one of those can't-put-it-down books. Don't miss it.
