She gives marriage enrichment workshops and belongs to the American Psychological Association, American Counseling Association, and Spiritual Directors International. A native of New York State, she now lives in North Carolina with her husband, Richard. In addition to writing and philosophy, she enjoys painting, gourmet cooking, hiking, and traveling.
