I am not sure why this was listed as a paperback, as it is a beautiful hardcovered book. The photos and narrative expose the author's fascination with and insight into Eric Clapton in an entirely readable way. Get it for any Clapton fan on your holiday list, and get a copy for yourself!

Given To Me For An Honest Review Journeyman: Eric Clapton -- A Photographic Narrative (Calla Editions) by Gene Shaw is truly a must have for those who have loved the  music.  This book covers thirty concerts over thirty years.  You can travel through time as you share the events and concerts that were photographed.  There are many pictures included.  They are glossy and clear.  A great coffee table book. If you loved the music you'll love the book.  I gave it 5 stars but it deserves more.  I highly recommend this book to all.  I look forward to more from Gene Shaw.

The photography and accompanying reflections take you to a place not always available to everyone. The photographs and the reflections of a Gene Shaw make the whole work very personable.  A tour is usually just for spectators, but the tours, the journey, presented in this book are the personal stories of the participants. The photography captures the journey of Eric Clapton while the reflections capture the journey of the photographer, Gene Shaw . Reflections on the challenges of life , reflections on the joys and sorrows, reflections on the love of music, and throughout a deep faith and trust in God's love for him.  This book is not just another picture book  to be placed on the coffee table to peruse, but to sit with it and let it take you on a journey with a great artist, Eric Clapton and a great lover of music and life, Gene Shaw.
