This is Joseph F. Conte's fifth book and destined to be regarded as his magnum opus. The book is designed to serve people of a searching intellect who are devoted to new values, artistic creativity, and the quest for philosophical wisdom on a kabbalistic path. It was Moshe Idel, a great scholar of Kabbalah, who helped Conte to see how the traditional Kabbalah, as an intellectual and spiritual revolution, could eventually lead to political reforms. This in turn leads to the formation of a new humanity and a new future. But modifications of the tradition seemed necessary, and so it is that the author took the first steps down a new road while fortified with his own philosophical vision of the future. The Judaeo-Christian Kabbalah creates a continuous melody to draw the reader along on a river of knowledge and insight. The book's exhaustive completeness is ascribed partly to the long period of scrutiny to which the author has subjected it to prior to laying it before the public. We are living in an exciting moment of history as this book abundantly suggests.
